@MarioLover92 That's really cool. I'm glad My Nintendo is doing some sort of physical rewards again, maybe I might try to go for something one day with some of the platinum points I've gotten from the NSO rewards.

Now I'm reminded, anyone else remember the posters Nintendo Power use to give away. I think I have a PSO 1&2 poster folded up in a draw.

@Sunsy I'm glad they're doing physical rewards again, as late as they may have been. I do have quite a few of them! I remember those Nintendo Power posters too. That PSO 1 and 2 poster you mentioned, that was from an issue from the GameCube/GBA era, wasn't it? I think I had one for Alien Syndrome long ago, or whatever that game's called.

@MarioLover92 I admit some of the previous partner showcases were a mixed bag. I wasn't bothered by the announcement since I learned long ago to temper my expectations. It makes things MUCH easier when I'm not constantly expecting Mother 3, Metroid Prime 4, or fully optimal ports of Final Fantasy VII Remake. XD

I completely forgot there were F-Zero titles on the GBA. I've heard of Maximum Velocity before, but not GP Legend. Perhaps your impression was similar to the masses, so it isn't exactly the most popular title?

I just found out Mission Impossible 7 comes out next year... after thinking it came out this year... after making plans...

@Tyranexx That's good you took it well. I guess it was kind of my fault, then. We did get a good showing nonetheless, and to be fair, Nintendo's probably not quite ready to show details on Breath of the Wild 2 or whatever the next Mario platformer's gonna be, to give a couple examples. Hence the partner showcase. They've probably been brainstorming ideas for those two, I bet.

Yeah, I would imagine so. GP Legend wasn't exactly a big seller IIRC, and I had more fun with the other games in the series. I think F-Zero's popularity was waning at that time, perhaps that played a part in the lack of a new entry.

Oh yeah, you probably saw it already, but Capcom's making a Mega Man Battle Network collection. Which is a good thing because I wanted the MMBN games on the Switch anyway! I wonder how they'd do the link cable battles, though.

I got impressed by Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection since I have never played those GBA games before and to find those GBA games in legit copy (no reproduction cart) with cheaper price was nearly impossible. I heard also the Legacy Collection will be available on PS4 version so it will be perfect candidate for both my PS4 & Switch machines.

Other games I got interested were Doraemon Story of Seasons sequel that I will pick the PS5 version, Mario + Rabbids Spark of Hope, Fishing Spirits: Fish and Play Aquarium (Mini Direct Japan). PacMan remake was not really sure with the gameplay before I watched the gameplay from YouTube.

I was quite nervous playing DDR blinfolded with PS2 controller so I got lesser Perfect and it affected with my score I got (I will got AA if I got more Perfect than Great). 😅

@MarioLover92 Yeah, it was definitely from the GameCube/GBA era, I think I might have one issue from that era, I think it has Mickey Mouse on the cover. I need to check the few gaming magazines I kept. Cool, I think that was a Sega game on Wii IIRC.

I don't usually cry when people pass away... but this made me shed a tear, I'm really gonna miss him.

I might change my Nintendo Life username at some point. Maybe my new username would be MarioLoverDPad? Since my Animal Crossing name is D-Pad. Some of my ACNH friends/villagers have called me D for short, too. I'm aware that once I change it, I won't be able to change it again for 90 days. So I'll give that some thought.

@Kermit1 Ah I've heard of Technoblade's passing...I could tell it's been really heartbreaking. I may not have been into Minecraft myself, but my heart goes out to his family, friends, and fans nonetheless.

@Sunsy Oh I had that issue long ago, I remember they made that Mickey Mouse game for the GameCube years ago. They did a GBA version of Magical Quest too, with Minnie Mouse being playable alongside Mickey. I've seen some footage of the original SNES version, and it does look quite fun.

Yeah, Alien Syndrome was indeed a Sega game, and it was a remake. Probably would have liked playing it back then!
