I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hope you have some people around you who can support you through these hard times. Talking to friends, family and professional support is very important to get through it.

I speak from experience. I've been suffering from depressions and anxieties since teenhood and I know how harsh life can be.
I'm currently going through a rough time as well. Everything happening in the world right now can be hard to bear when you're a compassionate soul.

I know it's difficult, but try to focus your thoughts on the positive things around you, however small they may be. Whether you're enjoying something tasty, hear birds chirping outside, the laughter of a child,... anything that improves your mood ever so slightly is of great value.

I wish you all the strength you need to get through this. Don't give up. You can do it!

I respect the words, and I'm trying my best, but outside of deciding to live in complete and total ignorance (too late), there's only so much that can help when you live in interesting times. At least for me.

@kkslider5552000 I can't understand such depressive moods. I do not know why.

But the best advice I could give to you is to find something you really REALLY love and do it non stop.

Sometimes the best way to improve your life is to ignore your surroundings (at least to 90%) and spend time on "meaningless" experiences like gaming, reading etc.

PS: Hobbies are the best!!!
PS2: I thought that living in the US could be hard. No experience with it but from what I see on the news it is bad and chaotic.

I understand. It can be difficult, if not impossible, to see a future for yourself and like-minded people when you're completely down. It might take a while, but there'll be a point when things start to shift and you'll see glimpses of hope again.

You have my support and if you want to talk, you can DM me on social media if you're on there.
The links are on my profile.

Edit: DMs on my Twitter were deactivated but they're back up again.

After five years of being on nintendolife, my mind, just now, made the connection that "Hookshot Media" is named after the hookshot in zelda games.🤣 Nice work brain!<3

You.... didn't.... know....?!

I personally dislike the name. They should rename it to "Clawshot Media". Clawshot's infinitely more useful than the Hookshot after all!

And I have started my next project which is to complete the turtles sculptures!

I decided to make one sculpture with the remaining 2 turtles

It sure is! My mom was worried about Japan when I went there a few years ago, to the point that it took a lot for me to even go. I mock her constantly for this considering where we live. :V

The only saving grace is I'm in a relatively sane part of the country that isn't run by the worst people. But things being good for me specifically only helps my mental state so much (in some ways, it might even be bad for it)

Foreign countries are usually scarier for us than our own. Specially those with an added language barrier.

As the saying around here goes, "a known bad is better than an unknown good".

Yes it's not a very uplifting saying. 😅

People are stupid then. Even an unknown bad would feel like a lateral move at this point.

This part I feel though. Even after studying Japanese for like 10 months, I knew so little, it was a bit exhausting at points, even with friends around who could speak a lot more. Only saving grace is that enough people there also knew enough English.

People are just people. We have a natural fear of change, and that only increases with age in the vast majority of us.

Parents in particular tend to do this 180 when it comes to their own children, suddenly the fear of the unknown increases to 11.

I'm aware this is a really stupid idea using an irrelevant meme format but between the two most recent games I've been playing lately, the realisation hit me like a freight train.

@Fizza
I have finished Super Mario Galaxy Wii version and it wasn't really fun to finish the game with a lot of butthurt.
I still haven't get Pokemon Legends Arceus as I still have some hype with PS3, PS4 & PS5 games during this year, but I will try to get the game once I found the right time to buy.

@Fizza Good example with Galaxy! Tarrey Town in Breath of the Wild has that effect too, plus the Divine Beasts as you get more terminals. Spirit Tracks has it with the Tower of Spirits similarly. It's a great technique of conveying progress and even changing the mood of the song.
