@Vortexeo I wouldn’t know if my own play stats are indicative of the game’s length, but it took me 41 hours, with a fair bit of questing post game. I imagine it’ll take a bit more for you depending on your speed so it’s easily a 50 hour game.
If you think you’re up for it, by all means go for it!
@BruceCM Ah, I see! As far as I know there’s absolutely no indication it’s coming to Switch let alone a console. It screams Switch though so… yeah we need that. Especially me, so I can explore the origins of the series, how much II sucked and how good VI is.
Yeah, I'm convinced they will come to Switch, @TheJGG .... There may be any number of reasons that'll be a bit later, since they're only 'coming soon' even for mobile & steam
@Zuljaras@TheJGG Yeah, the Ubisoft conference was.... okayish, nothing spectacular per se, and personally, I once again, just like last year, was MASSIVELY annoyed that they always select the worst English speaking French people to do the presentations...
Some of the accents were SO thick/heavy, that it would have been great to have some subs present, but apparently, they themselves think their English sounds great... Now, instead of it being a relaxed watch, it was almost like having to work, actively concentrating on listening, to be able to fully understand them sometimes. Pfffff....
Oh, well. At least Microsoft's presentation was better, but even that lacked some oomph. I discussed this with a friend, who I was chatting with on WhatsApp during the event, that it's perhaps because of the whole pandemic, because we've had all digital events before, and in principle, it's obviously always digital for us, even if there is a real live show in LA going on, but a lot of it feels very scripted and pre-cooked so far, and that takes the spontaneity out of it for me, which does come with a REAL live event, because there, it comes naturally and current events are just... eh, I don't know.
Either way, I'll have to re-watch some stuff anyway, seeing as I didn't have my new TV yet, so now that I finally have that set up and ready to go, I want to see all of it in 4K.
But yeah, I declined from being included in @TheJGG's encyclopedia of comments. I just didn't see the use of it, and wherever possible, I like to keep to myself and/or prevent any statements of mine being used. Obviously, being online and anonymous, that's not always possible, but I'll prevent what I can, whenever I can.
@Anti-Matter Yes, I did watch the Wholesome presentation, because I always watch EVERYTHING during E3. I didn't pay too much attention, though because I'm simultaneously following the European Soccer Championship, and I was waiting for my new TV to arrive, so I can re-watch all of it in better quality. I might have to re-watch that Wholesome presentation as well, but I rather focus on the bigger titles, and Nintendo, obviously.
@ThanosReXXX
oh i most definitely did not purchase that freddy krueger figure
Ah, okay. So, that was just a picture you posted, then? For a minute there, I thought you had let go of your high quality, skeleton-only standards...
@Eel WHAAATTT? Ending/locking an interesting thread again before I even had a chance to look? What a bummer...
In all seriousness though, I'm beginning to wonder more and more why people don't read the rules anymore before they join the site.
On an unrelated side note: you were the first person that came to mind, when I watched the Forza Horizon 5 presentation. It looked absolutely gorgeous to me, but when developers beat their own chest about how accurately something looks like its real life counterpart, I do always keep a little bit of salt nearby, just in case, and I'll much sooner take the word of an actual native inhabitant of said area.
So, provided you actually watched that presentation, did you think it did Mexico justice, and do some parts indeed look close enough to the real thing, or is it just another "artistic impression of", far as you're concerned?
Either way, I'm sure that @NEStalgia will now have a new excuse to closely examine the underbrush and shrubberies again. Maybe he can now even move on to individual blades of grass...
@ThanosReXXX Hahahah exactly! I was thinking I am the only one. I almost can hear them saying "baguette" or "croissant" instead of what they are actually pronouncing
But for some people that is adorable so I don't mind it personally but I find it funny

@ThanosReXXX Well the ball’s firmly in Nintendo’s Mario Tennis Court so anything goes really… Check back with me exactly 26 hours from now and we will have a right old chinwag!
@BruceCM I found a copy of Mario + Rabbids for 15$ so I think it is a fair price!

"WHAAATTT? Ending/locking an interesting thread again before I even had a chance to look? What a bummer..."
I still remember what was happened to that thread.
There was an user created a thread to express his feeling of meeting female supernatural creatures with very big boobs from his dream.
I was surprised and I remembered there was a wicked creature Succubus that can get into people's dream.
BTW, about games presentation, I got some good games recommendation from other users about kiddie games from PC games presentation (mostly they are Steam games with some of them have console release on either PlayStation or Nintendo). Bigger title that I will consider (not from E3 event) was Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PS5 after I watched some gameplay videos.
The original thread included descriptions on the look and length of the boobs, and the fluids they secreted. Aaaand that's all I'll say!
@ThanosReXXX the areas they presented very much looked like Mexico. Outside of the city they directly named though, it was more of a "that could be X place!" than a "that's definitely X place!". Of course, we will have to wait until they show more, or the game releases, to see how much justice they did to Mexico, but yeah, from what they showed, they got the feel down.
@Zuljaras Yeah, something to that extent. Almost like the French version of the Swedish Chef from the Muppet Show.
@TheJGG Well, that thoroughly depends on what Nintendo shows (or doesn't show), otherwise I might definitely not be in the mood for anything even remotely friendly...
@Anti-Matter Ah, so I actually missed nothing at all, seeing as I don't like big boobs...
@Eel I never knew breasts had lengths, but I guess it makes sense in some ways. Anyhoo, moving on, because you're absolutely right, there's nothing much else to say about nonsensical threads like that.
Good to hear that the areas are indeed represented accurately, as far as that can go in a game, obviously. It's not like they built entire cities, only parts, just like the previous games. But they're definitely getting better at it, and I also like that they included actual murals from local artists, and that the voice actor is native as well, instead of a white guy "doing" a Mexican voice...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@ThanosReXXX That's because most of the "French" people doing the Ubisoft speaking were French-Canadians from Ubi Montreal, not French. Even Canadians hate the French-Canadians. The exception being Mario + Rabbids which was Ubi Milan (with a remarkably German sounding accent), and Ubi Paris, and of course Yves.
I'll also second that the moment they announce FH5, the first thing I thought of was running over@Eel
The second thing was the incessant need to verify if the foliage was made of the highest quality pixels anyone's ever seen.
@NEStalgia Well, it sure as heck looked damn near photo-realistic, so you've got your work cut out for you. I'm going to rewatch the entire Xbox/Bethesda presentation later tonight, because yesterday, I still watched it on my old 42" HD plasma screen, and today, this old dog finally got his brand new 55"4K LG OLED screen installed, so I can now enjoy it even better. And man, it's BIG. My apartment isn't that large, so I'm sitting less than 10 feet away from it, and the difference between the two screens is almost mind boggling.
And this one also looks like an infinity pool, in that it has no edges to speak of, whereas the old plasma screen had one of these big, plastic picture frames, almost 2 inches all around.
As for the French who actually weren't French: it's not that I care that they're anything other than English, but it would seem overly obvious to me that you'd at least use people that can actually pronounce English words in a way that they are easily understandable. Foreign accents are fine, trust me: I know from living here, but what they basically did (and do every year), is put people in front of the camera who wouldn't even score a C in English, well at least: the pronunciation part of it...
On an unrelated side note: how you've been? Haven't seen you around much, other than the odd comment here and on PureXbox.
P.S.
What's with the sadistic undertone towards our friend Eel? Running people over is more a Carmageddon thing, not a Forza Horizon thing, luckily.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@ThanosReXXX Oh, I've been around between here, PXB, and PS. It just divides my comments with two other sites running now, and you not participating in PS (which, even as a PS fan can try ones patience at times....but still... )
LOL, well I thought of @Eel right away. But as for running over, you haven't seen me play Horizon.
@NEStalgia Well I seemed to completely miss the robot *rgy scene when I approached for what I felt was gonna be a boss fight. Probably the robots trying to imitate humans at first glance. The android fight wasn't what I expected though...
