@NintendoByNature You could always start with the demo, which contains the first 10 hours of the game. If you play that, you can take your save game with you to the full game. So, basically the entire first chapter for free, it's kind of a no-brainer. Assuming you haven't already played it, obviously...

@ThanosReXXX The Dragon Quest slime one is real. The gun is a Cabella’s Special. The third one was a concept idea, so it’s not real. I’m not sure about the other two.

@ThanosReXXX thanks, I did know that but im one of those oddballs who doesn't like demos im when im sure ill be into it. I did actually play it for an hour or two last year but I hate knowing I don't have the full game and there's eventually a cut off. I'm wierd like that.

@NintendoByNature Well, there's actually no cut-off, unless you interpret that there's nothing to do anymore at a certain point in the demo, because you've checked off all the items on the list as a cut-off, but in my experience, it has a nice, clean ending in preparation of the rest of the game, and you'll be playing those EXACT first 10 hours when you get the full game anyway, so why not start for free?

On a related side note: even after the 10 hours of actual things to do is finished, you can still use the demo as a character grinding place, in order to beef up for further adventures, so in that respect, it's actually an endless demo, to some extent.

@BabyYoshi12 I'm pretty sure that both the white controller and the one with the screen are totally fake, but the gun definitely already looked real to me. All of them together kinda made me doubt the rest, though.

@ThanosReXXX hmm maybe from a grinding standpoint it might be worth it.

@NintendoByNature Mind you, just a suggestion, obviously. You should definitely do whatever suits you best.
I played the demo myself, and even though I haven't bought the full game yet, I'm glad that I have this save game now, that'll allow me to pick up where I left off, instead of having to go through the entire first chapter all over again, regardless of how much I enjoyed playing it.

@NintendoByNature Well, that one is definitely an acquired taste. I personally liked it, but I can understand that it's not for everyone. Once you really get into it, though, that Platinum brilliance definitely shines through. Well, at least: far as I'm concerned anyway.

@ThanosReXXX totally get it. First 30-40 min were really odd. Hard to get used to. But once I did it clicked. And I can tell I'm in for a ride.

@NintendoByNature I noticed you playing TW101 last night while I was wrapping up the main story in XC:DE. I found that ironic; my hope is to start TW101 later. It'll be my first Platinum game, so I don't really know what to expect. XD

@Tyranexx so you finished it? Didn't you love that game from start to finish? Ending was superb.

I cant wait to hear your impressions then, since itll be your first P game. Expect over the top, and quick decision making. Also, the first little bit will be awkward but you're an avid enough gamer that you'll manage. I have full faith in ya lol. Using the right stick to draw patterns can prove to be a challenge at first, but ive mastered it by now. Im a few hours in! If you like this you'll love astral chain and bayo 1 and 2. Try this first and see how you hold up haha.

@PrincessAzunyan Aw I see. I sure know that feeling too, but if you have a knack for writing, literature, and things like that, as well as having a bit of confidence, I think you'll do fine. What kind of novel are you thinking of writing?

@ThanosReXXX That makes more sense certainly.

@Anti-Matter American street names are named utterly without logic. Some are named like yours, after famous people, some after events, some just whatever random name someone picked. Others are just numbered and others still don't have names of any sort. And then you'll have roads, streets, "way"s, etc etc and different cities and states will use the terms different. Traffic laws are also different from state to state. Because who wants consistent rules?

@NintendoByNature The ending of XC was amazing! Really well done IMO, though it took a bit for me to digest a couple of the finer points after the final boss. Mainly where the origins of Alvis, Meyneth, and Klaus/Zanza were concerned. It took a bit for me to even do the final boss sequence; besides finishing Colony 6, I also ended up working on most of the late-game quests. Needless to say my party was way overleveled for the final few fights lol.

I plan to take a bit of a RPG break before tackling Future Connected with TW101, plus I might start a shorter DS game this coming weekend too.

I didn't start in on TW101 as early this evening as I would have liked, so I only put in about an hour. I played through the prologue a couple of times just to get a better feel for the controls lol. Over the top is right! Though in a good way. I think drawing the Unite Morphs is proving to be my biggest challenge, though I am adapting. The rest of the controls seem at least somewhat intuitive.

So far I really like the general theme of the game; it's really true to the hero cliches it borrows from, and the music that plays during the prologue is just so...right. XD

@ogo79 Feel free to keep the pumpkin stuff. Not a fan of anything pumpkin-flavored. XP

@Tyranexx yea i remember that part of the ending confused the heck outta me. But it was epic nonetheless.

The final closing moments were among my favorite in gaming. Exactly how I wanted it to end 😉.

Oh yeah. Tw101 is in your face nonstop. The controls grow on you for unite morph. And when you get new characters it gets even cooler.

Which is better Lazy villager to choose from between Beau and Punchy judging from their houses and their looking ?
