@1UP_MARIO I knew that, about the foot, but I was obviously mistaken about what @Link-Hero meant. Anyway, misunderstanding eradicated, mission completed.

On a side note: I see we have a collector's item in common...

@Link-Hero That's actually a pretty stylish and sweet setup as well, but I personally would also prefer something I can close, or at least have drawers in for my controllers and games. Now, like you, I have everything out in the open, except I don't have a nice cabinet or anything. Just chairs full of stacks of games, and a VERY busily occupied piece of moveable furniture with a TV, video equipment and consoles on it.

@bimmy-lee Huh? Business conference? It's just a Nintendo Direct, and of course it's recorded. That basically happens with all live broadcasted YouTube videos: they're saved after the live broadcast, so that you can watch them at a later moment in time. You can find it in the news section on your Switch, so you can watch it on a big screen.

@HobbitGamer - Pretty sure I’m cleared for takeoff. My airport is working, and I have a ticket. I haven’t tried to fly yet, but I’ll see about using my ticket tonight.

@NintendoByNature - You’ll have to put some time in before you can fly and visit islands, but it doesn’t take too long. The game occurs in real time, and, at least at first, your progress is gated by that. Some events take a day to transpire. You’ll reach a point in each of your first handful of days on the island where you’ve done everything you can do that day outside of hoard materials and earn bells, which is critical early on. The only way around it is to change the date on your Switch. I’ve just been doing stuff in real time, and the game opens up at a perfect pace for a newb like me.

@ThanosReXXX - Haha, oh man, I really botched your last response! I thought you meant that the Zoom app saves and archives meetings. Sorry about that. My confusion was compounded by the fact that it was sort of a running joke with my friends that Zoom records the meetings, and our conversation was of such a nature that the friend who invited us to the meeting would be fired if his bosses were running surveillance on his Zoom account. I’ve watched all the Directs on my Switch since I got it. It’s fun to watch that way. It’s maximum Nintendo nerdiness.

@Ninfan luckily they still do.

We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Busy day here, yet a pretty decent and productive one! I was able to sneak away from my work machine early and enjoy the nice spring weather we have here today. Starting this evening, it's supposed to be stormy half the weekend, so I wanted some fresh air. My windows are open now, but I'll be closing them when it really starts raining.

I got the cleaning and dishes out of the way. Now it's time for a shower, some reading, and Angler's Tunnel in Link's Awakening!

@bimmy-lee sweet, Thanks for the tip. Not sure ill even have time to play tonight. Just spent the better part of 6 hours putting together bunk beds. Normal people could probabaly do it in 3, but yea, not me. If I have any time tonight I might just try and finish up Owlboy if i have the energy. My hands, wrists, back are all aching though, so maybe tomorrow.

Yo, it's been like, years since I've been on this forum. Not too sure if many people here remember me, but I was active on here years ago, so hi. Hope everyone's doing well.

@Link-Hero Haha, I know the feeling. Just imagine what we'd do if we had all the space we wanted: I'd definitely have a MASSIVE game room, like those that you see in various YouTube videos.

@bimmy-lee Ah, okay. For a minute there, you had me wondering. Oh, well...

@Eel
Question.
Are the animal villagers randomly spawned like ACNL or like Happy Home Designer ?

@HobbitGamer - All right, I give up. I have no idea how to get to your island. I tried last night. I had a gnome for you and everything. I went to a random deserted island instead and got coconut trees.
