@theblackdragon I'm already over this 2DS business, sure, it was shocking yesterday and I got mad over it but I've noticed it means more streetpasses and decided to let the subject die here for me(but I must admit I find fun to see people fighting over it and so I'm making the discussion at the 2DS thread longer ) @Erica_Hartmann I'm wondering about that too

I like how Nintendo ''fans'' don't get mad about the lack of an account based system for Nintendo devices or the Wii U's horrible first year; but when that 2DS is announced, everyone blows their top off. I actually might buy a 2DS.

I agree. And I sorta want a 2DS as well. I think it's a neat little device.
I really can't see how people are angry about the 2DS. It doesn't make any sense. It's not like it will replace the 3DS. It's just a cheaper model.

because it was shocking and impossible to play some of the best action games!
it's no surprise that Nintendo makes mistakes with online account system come on it's been like this since the DS(with nothing that resembled an account and the DSi barely had any account)
and the first year usually sucks for most videogames(plus it doesn't matter if it's going well or not I still want one)........

I really can't see how people are angry about the 2DS. It doesn't make any sense. It's not like it will replace the 3DS. It's just a cheaper model.
I wouldn't have facepalmed as much as I did had the trailer present that it was specifically intended for little kids and/or for the people who don't prefer the 3D, so it came off to me as a step back, especially when thinking about the potential ideas Nintendo could have been focusing on right now such as a "4DS" or something. Also, there's no clamshell design since little kids could break off the hinges. It's really about safety, longevity, and money.
