Sony and actually NIntendo as well as Microsoft backed out of SOPA.
They also don't threaten the PSN but the Sony executives themselves.

No, no. That's what they were going to do originally. Now they are just going to straight toward the Sony Execs themselves.

Only Sony computer entertainment dropped support. All the other Individual branches and sony as a whole still supports the bill.

'Anonymous' never has and likely never will do anything significant. Mainly as the group's extreme disorganisation (that they think is edgy and clever) prevents them from even being a group. That and the way they're mostly immature children that like the idea of being part of something supposedly "hardcore", but can't actually do anything. Nothing to see here, folks.

Unsurprising move is unsurprising. While I don't think anyone should support SOPA, Anonymous is probably full of pirates anyway, so this, to me, carries absolutely no weight whatsoever.

Well any group that directly targets corporations (and as a result the end-users) with cyberattacks should be considered terrorists. The whole incident with PSN pretty much solidified this point. Stealing credit card info is considered fun and games to these guys? These "Anonymous" guys should be hunted down by all major law-enforcement agencies.

I'm not a computer guy or anything but all I know is that their IP address doesn't show up. They're not stupid.

You think these guys aren't using dummy addresses. These guys have attacked the government before and got away with it. zits a global Organization and can be anywhere.

I do know some in Mexico got abducted and almost killed by the Zeta gang.

They're empty threats, nothing's actually been done by them. Anyone with knowledge or skills in hacking etc would be mature enough to disassociate themselves from the group. Like I said, they can hardly be considered a group, as the only individuals that make the group up are the teenage "hurr i anonymous so edgy we hack u" (that show up to protests to have a laugh and take the piss) and the people like the submitter of that video that assume a role, but still a useless one. They assume that among their ranks are people capable of hacking so they leave the work to them and try and bask in the credit for it by being part of the group. But there are no capable people or "hackers", and the "group" is essentially as empty as the threats they make.
