Yes it does--you still age at the same rate, and you can't interact with your past. So if you go off and explore the universe for a few years and return in time to continue where you left off, you'll be older--eventually people will start noticing.

for me, PTSD seems to make it so that days last forever but months scurry by...i have a very difficult time keeping track of what day/month it is. makes life interesting, i guess.

No specific trend, just the idea of trends in general.
Some people go way overboard trying to keep up with what's the now and what everyone else is doing. In doing so, individuality is hindered greatly in today's world.
The knife song, the salt and ice challenge, and all the other stupid challenges people do for internet cred. I honestly have no idea why some people can derive satisfaction from hurting themselves and filming it.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
