Response to #301: In function, stepladders and ladders aren't different. They're both meant to facilitate the elevation and descension of height. However, in design ladders and stepladders are different; ladders generally are much taller, allowing for a greater elevation of height while stepladders are not as tall and thus only allow for small increments of ascended or descended height.
