Question for Fire Emblem fans - General Discussion Forum

Is the first game you played in the series, also your favourite? The first game I played in the series was Fire Emblem on the GBA, and it's also the one I enjoyed the most. I was wondering if it was viewed as one of the better games in the series, or if it's just because it was a fresh experience.

@Wargoose I'm one of those people swept in by Awakening back on the 3DS. I think my favorite is Three Houses, as I love the serious storytelling, amazing cast of characters, and engaging exploration/social simulation elements.

I honestly hate how Nintendo do this, where if I want to appreciate all the fan service nods I’d have to buy whole other consoles, just make the DS and GBA games available on Switch. I appreciate that due to Nintendo’s like for gimmicks it makes things a little more complicated, but that is for them to figure out, it isn’t the consumer’s problem. We call Sony anti-consumer, but it feels about 90% of Nintendo’s history is completely inaccessible if you only own a Switch, which is just bizarre when they release anniversary games like this.
