Topic: Positive of the Day

Since we've got a thread for disappointments of the day, I thought I'd make a thread for positives of the day to balance things out. Yin and Yang, all that jazz. :P Nothing special yet today, but I have a couple from last week. The first is the announcement of "The Last Story" for North America. This is a game I've looked forward to as much as any other for the Wii, being a collaboration between Sakaguchi and others involved with Final Fantasy in the past, including my favorite video game composer Nobuo Uematsu. I've followed news on it even before it was released in Japan and continued to check occasionally to see if it was announced for North America. Even with the announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles, I had lost hope of seeing The Last Story. So, this was a huge positive for me as a gamer! The other came the very next day, when I found out I got a full time job I've tried hard to get, at a place where I'd worked previously. It comes at a time when things are dire here financially, so it's as big a positive as I've had in ages (my job search had been one huge disappointment). Of course it does mean WORKING, which goes against the grain with me, LOL. So, now you guys and gals! Positive and happy stuff, people! :D

I just "ordered" 4 penpals, 2 from Korea and 2 from Japan.
I haven't had a real snail mail pen pal before from another country and I really want to learn about Korean/Japanese culture so I decided today was the day to get some pen pals.
Hopefully they will write to me after I write to them

I hope things work out for you. In French class in high school, our teacher got everything set up for the class to have pen pals (each student getting to choose their country to contact), and my Japanese pen pal never answered back...

I watched Here Comes the Boom tonight, and thought it was pretty good.

Don't know why it didn't get a good response from critics. I thought it was a funny, feel-good film, that didn't rely on much gross out humor (except for one scene).

I just saw The Wolverine, it was a great movie. I thought it debatably had a bit too much X-Men convolution towards the end, but it a good story overall in addition to the action.

A Family Member of mine just found out today that they survived cancer. They were diagnosised with Stage 3 Lymphoma Cancer in Late December 2012, and just found out today that they are cancer free.

Wow, that's great to hear @Knuckles! I've witnessed firsthand what that cursed disease can do to a family, and am glad your family won't have to go through that.
