The Simpsons. The amount of bad episodes it has is astonunding, yet it still keeps getting mad (After 2002 i mean. The seasons before were some of the funniest things i watched)

I watched some of the recent ones and I agree that suck compared to the old ones, also I hate the new Lisa, she was different from now.
Breaking Bad is fantastic. I have a hard time seeing how someone could say it's overrated, even with all the praise it gets. It really is that good.
Big Bang Theory grabbed me at first and I liked it, but as the show has went on it has lost a lot of the heart that made it worth watching.
If anime counts, I can think of tons. Pretty much any tournament shonen show (Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, and in my opinion One Piece (although it's better than the previous three, at least)) (Fullmetal Alchemist does not fall into this category. That show is flipping amazing. Brotherhood is pretty great too). Sword Art Online amazes me in how much attention and praise it has gotten; I really don't find it that great, and as the show goes on it starts to become a bit misogynistic.
Anohana is so horribly-written that it amazes me as to how many people adore it. It's a great concept ruined by some of the worst execution writing-wise.
Ikki Tousen is somehow getting more seasons. That's... depressing, really.
Best thread ever

I don't remember a tournament in One Piece. Was there one in an anime filler arc? I've only read the manga.
I'll have to go with Breaking Bad and Doctor Who. Both are great shows, but nowhere near as incredible as everyone makes them out to be. Breaking Bad during the middle of season 2 and 3 got really slow and uninteresting, and the first half of season five was awful. Other than that it's fantatic. Doctor Who is still one of my favorites but the episodes which involve a big story normally are terrible.

i haven't watched much of the anime ( infact i just kinda jumped in the middle and jumped off shortly after), but i think the davey back fights would count as a tournament. (although i dont know if that was in the manga at all)
edit: decided to do a little checking around to answer your question if it was anime filler or in the manga. from what i can tell ... its actually both. keeping the rest of this in spoilers at this point. (even though the spoiler is very minor, but i never know what'll set someone off when it comes to these things)
ok, so the davey back fight was definitely in the manga, but in the anime only Luffy agrees to have a second davey back fight (this was that very minor spoiler i mentioned) with three more games that were never featured in the manga.
I don't think a tournament anime actually needs a literal tournament, but it does help. Mostly it just refers to anime with escalating series of fights. I don't think Bleach ever has an actual tournament, but the fights themselves are structured like one.
I disagree. Scooby doo is a good show, but i can understand why anyone would not like it. It follows a mostly strict forumula. May i recommend Scooby Doo Mystery Inc to you?. Even people who don't like Scooby Doo seem to adore this series.

I will agree to Mystery Inc., as well as The 13 Ghosts Of series for it's supporting cast (Vincent Price <3) and the Zombie Island film. The rest however, I find to be dull, repetitive dreck.

Was going to say this.
Don't get me wrong, I totally get the appeal to these kinds of shows. It's just that they usually end up stagnating character development and story development so that the show can roll on. Didn't One Piece have an arc where all of the characters got amnesia so that they could re-do all the character development done previously? Or am I thinking of another show?

Yes, One Piece did have an arc like that, but it was only like a 4 or 5 episode story, and they had fully regained their memories at the end (that, and I believe it was filler).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

This arc in particular was actually based on an RPG for the original Playstation.
Family guy post revival due to the awful episdoes such as Family Gay, Not all dogs go to heaven, Seahorse Seashell Party, and the ratings grab when Brian dies only to be brought back two episodes later;

That was a filler arc. In fact, I'm not even sure what you're talking about. Stagnating character development? Shows like those are constantly developing characters. Even Fairy Tail.

Haven't some of these shows been around for some time now though? Take One Piece for example, it's been around since 1997; character reboots and drawn out plots are virtually a given at this point.
"Even Fairy Tail" Actually I think Fairy Tail has even more reason for constant character development, given how much younger it is compared to the others and when you consider how characters are so come-and-go in the manga, the extra screen time everyone gets in the anime does make a real difference to the series.
On another note, Supernatural. Just Supernatural. Why.....
