Give me my Cowboy Bebop. While I haven't seen any Detective Conan, I highly doubt it comes close to the quality of Cowboy Bebop. _{Don't hurt me, kkslider...}

It is a shame that Conan never gained much popularity here in the States, but even so, I'm voting for Bebop (it's not just a good anime, it's a good drama, period).

Also, anyone else here aware of the Detective Conan references in InuYasha?

Episode 11. It is probably the most beloved case in the entire series, or at least in terms of episodes that wouldn't at least partially spoil the plot.

If you really want to get into the series after that, you should start from the beginning though.

Also, I'm often a dub fan, especially from Funimation, but watch it subbed. It is so much better and has a ton of great talent for voice actors.

Yeah the music really was amazing for Bebop, it's one of Yoko Kanno's greatest accomplishments.

Anyway, for the current match-up... I like both shows quite a bit, but I'll give a slight edge to Dragon Ball.

Under normal circumstances I would give Dragon Ball the vote with no hesitation. But the themes from Outlaw Star really got me going, so I'll give my vote to that one.

I'm watching Outlaw Star, it does not deserve to be a well known anime. It's not a bad series but it does deserve to be popular.

Dragonball. Dragonball's a classic and is basically single handedly responsible for most popular shonen today.

Outlaw Star. It was fun from beggining to end.

I like Dragon Ball, but not as much as Z, and it didn't really get good for me personally until King Piccolo (the tournaments were always fun, though).
