Did you know there are more "best ever" episodes of Detective Conan then there are Cowboy Bebop episodes period? Because there are.

So you know what? You excpect it to lose so I'm voting for it.

I like Conan, but Cowboy Bebop is my favorite anime ever.

So, uh, yeah, I'm voting Bebop.

The Avengers was built up since Iron Man in 2008. The current arc of Detective Conan laughs at how rushed that is, because it still has you hooked every week instead of an average of about once a year. Fact.

It's good, don't get me wrong. It's just more obscure than the 4th most popular anime series in the west.

It's lack of success in America is one our of country's greatest failures. Fact.

Anyways, I vote for Cowboy Bebop. While it's not one of my favorite shows, it's still hard to beat.

The original author of Detective Conan's home town basically now largely exists to worship how awesome Detective Conan is. I am actually serious, that's completely true. So Conan is to Japan what Google is to America then.

We get it. You love Detective Conan. Alright, kkslider. My vote now goes to Cowboy Bebop. If not just for Ed for the awesome music and fun episodes. It's just overall great. Detective Conan is cool from the one episode I've seen of it, but hey. Cool, finally the first round is over!

Digimon's been the star of the tournament, nearly half a dozen Ghibli movies went down in the first round and shows like Bleach, Evangelion, InuYasha and Naruto couldn't make it out of the nomination round.

I'm not sure how much of a factor conventional popularity has been in this tournament.

Well, there are well over 600 of them now (and counting). It would be immensely disappointing if there weren't at least many dozens of great episodes of television throughout that kind of run.
