FMA:B is as close to perfect as I'll allow something to be.
It is the most well-produced thing I've ever seen, with some of my favorite plots and character developing.
The reason that I pick it over One Piece is for 2 things.
1. Imma H8r
2. One Piece has gone on much longer than anticipated, even for the creators. There is a point where to stop, and while checking up on some of the more recent episodes, I go WTF is going on, who are they, wow that was pretty cool, etc.
In the case of FMA: B I at least got the feeling from my second viewing that the plot was thought through from beginning to the end, pacing secrets better than some mystery novels I've read*. (Of the 2 that I've read, one of them for school.)
Also, I'ma hater.

EDIT: I haven't read Manga in years, so I can't really have any opinion on them, but this is about the anime anyways.
Is there any doubt as to which series is going to take this?

Whoever wants to do the next tourney can start, but I'm not quite done here, yet. Tomorrow I intend to do third place vote, then I'm thinking of doing a few other things that I still need to sort out.
