Whether or not I am happy about data collection, I do use PayPal where I can because of the buyer protection. I had to use it for the first and only time (so far) against zavvi not so long ago.

I have it tied to both my Nintendo and my Xbox account.

@premko1 It's not nearly as bad as you seem to think it is. I've been using it for more than 10 years (and to my complete satisfaction as well, I might add), never had a problem. And it doesn't require any more data than a credit card/debit card or bank account would, so basically it's just your bog standard secured financial service.
I have to second this. I've had a PayPal account since 2002, and never had even a single problem or issue.

If you're not comfortable with it, that's your prerogative, but as both I and @ThanosReXXX are both well over 40, i don't think your age really has anything to do with it.
@premko1 That depends on who you do business with, and PayPal has a VERY high global score where it concerns customer trust, loyalty and service, and so far, they've more than proven their record to me. They even helped me to get all my money back from some a*hole on eBay. Now if you wanna talk about untrustworthy media, then let's discuss that platform...
