While I make a new drawing, I thought I’d share a small Conker drawing and an original picture I made a few months ago in the meantime. I’m still pretty happy with the coloring on both! Sorry for the potato quality on the last one though, plus I don’t know why I took a photo of the first drawing and put a garbage photo filter over it. The last one is supposed to be a redraw of an old drawing.
I should clarify that I’m not trying to promote my account. I couldn’t find out how to properly post images here, and I couldn’t find a nice photo sharing site for my artwork, plus I don’t trust the security on those sites, so I had to resort to linking posts from my account…
Also, there is nothing wrong with posting images from twitter(X), Instagram, DeviantArt or even Facebook. You clearly do not promote your profile Actually it makes sharing easier. And why not give the people opportunity to follow you?
@Zuljaras Thank you! I had a lot of fun making the two drawings. For that last one, I originally made the drawing when I was obsessed with teddy bears and I couldn’t stop drawing them. I am glad I can now post drawings on this thread, since I’ve been wanting to post on this thread for a while.
@Eel it sure is! I only just started to get into them more this year. For the first one, I used only just Crayola oil pastels and tried to limit myself to use a few colors. I am pretty proud of the first one since I was able to make a drawing with a small color palette. I used to draw with markers a lot, but I don’t anymore.
@Pastellioli oh didn’t know crayola made pastels, cool. It’s a difficult medium to get into, but you seem to be very proficient at it already! It looks great.
@Eel I got super inspired to use them because of an artist I follow online, and his coloring style heavily inspired mine. In fact, a lot of my coloring techniques are from his videos. He really likes to draw in a stylized art style and he enjoys using lots of color in his art. So far I have four different brands of oil pastels, but not the expensive brands. I can remember my first two drawings with them I made when I got into them more this year, I unfortunately can’t find them. I did use oil pastels before years ago since my dad had some, but I wasn’t into using them back then.
Crayola’s oil pastels are pretty good. They are a good mix of dry and not dry, and the same artist uses them a lot in his art, so I also got the same ones as him. I also have oil pastels from Pentel, Sakura, and a brand called Artecho. The last drawing was a combination of all four pastel brands. I like the Artecho ones a lot since they are really creamy and have strong pigments, plus they are really inexpensive. Oil pastels are fun, but the worst part is keeping your drawings clean after. I kept the two pictures covered with a sheet of paper on top since I don’t have a proper fixative to protect them.
Since it’s taking me so long to make a new picture, I’m just gonna show another older artwork.
This was my attempt at drawing Conker for the first time I believe. I sort of tried to stylize it and make it look super colorful. It’s probably one of my favorite artworks I made this year, probably with the coloring and the somewhat weird and tired look he has on his face, but the colors I chose for the background scream random and I wish I chose something better. The paper was so bad with the oil pastels I used.
@Pastellioli oh my god thats just unbelievably good. like wow!!! the detail and the shading and everything is so well done.

@Snatcher Thank you! I had fun drawing all of them, the teddy bear one is probably still my favorite. I really like to combine a lot of colors, and it’s really fun to do.
