Thanks Oddy. Sorry you won't read on, but I can understand why. I can promise you that very little of what you're concerned about actually becomes graphic in the story...most of it happens off-camera. But even so...don't read on if you're not comfortable doing so!
I just finished Chapter Two. This was a very productive day for me. Tomorrow I'll upload Chapter Two and write Chapter Three (if all goes well), which will finally get all of the major plot elements in motion, and should hopefully make it more interesting for anyone reading along.
Four a.m. Friday Morning. I was in my office working on a case. I had to work on a case. I couldn't afford a desk. There was a tap at the door. I got up and turned it off. I hate to see waste. On the way back I saw a figure pass my window. This was one tall broad - my office is on the second floor. She arrived at my office door, a live brunette. This dame spelt trouble. She got it right first time. I asked her to spell psychiatrist. Not now, she said. She fell into my office and leaned close to me over my case. I could see it was murder, she had it written all over her face. I passed her a Kleenex so she could wipe it off and she warned me about the hood in the alley-way with the felt-tip. Then she broke down and spilled her guts. I could see this one was going to need a lot of Kleenex.
Lol H-Mack wut in the name of Goddesss Prosody was that? Omg CB and Waltz, stop expecting stuff from me. My story isn't even going to be crazy and fairy ish (I hope it doesn't get demented and turn out that way.) I probably won't even upload any of it I kinda suck at writing and don't want you all to read it and be dissapointed. I need to practice so I can become a better writer. As of now I have a very basic plot and I'm hoping the story will turn into something random and enjoyable Anyways I finished the prolouge (I think that's how it's spelled) and a bit of chapter one. I'm about 200 words short of the 1667 daily wordcount, but I have a day off of school tommorow and I'm sure I can surpass it tommorow Here's to a splendid month fellas! Edit: I lied. I have exactly 1,667 words after I decided I should write more since I had nothing better to do anyways

not even started yet... but i'm about to, and i'm shooting for 2,000 words before the night's end. not good words, necessarily, but words, all the same.

"In ancient times, there were the great empires. These were the empires that everyone paid attention to, that were recorded as the first empires. But these historians were wrong. High in the sky, before the great roman and greek empires, there existed a cloud. To the peasants and the kings alike, this was just a cloud. But no human had the power to see; to see that this was no ordinary cloud. This cloud housed the great empire of legendary beasts: a war-scarred rebel and his underdog band of fugitives, and the empire, the king and his soldiers that tried to hunt them down. This, my friends, is the beginning of the Chronicles of Ozlago."
the writing is REALLY slow tonight. but i'm enjoying it, and it actually reads well, so we'll just see what comes of it. i'm not going to start doubting yet, but at this point, i've already decided that if i don't make 50,000 by the 30th, i can live with it. I've got the idea, and i've started it, so i'm going to finish and it'll be something i'm proud of.
now, to get back to trying to finish in a month.

Haha, unfortunately that excellent piece isn't mine. I collect good writing, and I just wanted to give you guys a little inspiration.
It's been a long time since I wrote fiction, and NaNoWriMo would be the perfect opportunity for me to flex my shrivelled old literary muscles. If I had the time, which I don't. Will I ever? Maybe next year.
"Maybe next year" seems to be my motto these days.
I could give feedback on people's work but that's not the point of NaNo, is it? I'll be silently reading along. Good luck with the word counts!
@Terra: Woah, you were able to get on? o_O NaNo is still down for me...I shall add you once I'm able to log in again.
Anyway, making great time today! I've almost passed the 3,333 word mark. =D

W0000t. Didn't have as much free time today as I thought I'd have, but as of now I have about 2,500 words and I'll definately hit the 3,333 mark within an hour. Right now I think I'm focusing on getting the story done this month. Then in December, at my leisure, I can edit it and correct it like crazy
I wasn't able to write this morning, so I'm still stuck at 2418. I'll be spending over an hour later to make up for it, and hopefully reach 5,000 at a minimum.
