Decided to start my first proper anime: My Hero Academia. Here I will review every episode, movie, special and OVA in the series.
I will be starting with the Entrance Exam Arc (Episodes 1-4).
Pretty good introduction. Not perfect by any means, but entertaining nonetheless.
In my opinion, Deku is a good main character. He is a bit of a wuss, but damn, he puts his all into every thing he does, even if he stumbles. He goes out of the way to sacrifice himself to save Bakugo and Uraraka. Justin Briner, his English VA, definitely captures his personality well.
Speaking of the VAs, all of them are great. Clifford Chapin as the sarastic angry boi Bakugo, Luci Christian as the peppy, cute Uraraka, and Christopher Sabat as the hammy yet stoic All Might.
The first batch of episodes are all about Deku proving himself to All Might and taking the Entrance Exam. While there are quite a bit of flashbacks, I feel that they added to Deku's motivation. Even if he doesn't have a quirk at first, he wants to become a great hero, and I feel that that makes Deku someone we should all look up to.
Overall, I liked this arc. While it has its problems, it establishes the world and main characters well. Can't wait to see how the series progresses.
Let me know what you think.
Also one more thing: The first ending theme is so catchy.
I love MHA, and wile some of the arcs and the way the anime and manga go are iffy, the anime really does show its western comic influence, and that’s why I love it so much.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@Snatcher The animation in MHA really brings Horikoshi's world to life.
It was done by none other than Studio Bones, the company who made Soul Eater and both Fullmetal Alchemist anime adaptations.
