Kiki's Delivery Service (Blu-Ray) - I had intended on watching this in time for Halloween but things didn't line up as I had planned. That said, better late than never, and watching this feels like curling up in a warm blanket on a cold night. Such a comfy movie.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@EaglyBird Me too, I loved the first when I saw it in theaters. Coincidentally being about a moving as my friend I saw it with was in the process of moving. We still keep in touch and play PC and Nintendo games together.
Yeah! Looks like the tease at the end of Puss In Boots came true... Shrek 5: THE PERRITO MOVIE!!!
@IceDomino Scroll up, we're both thinking the same. So surprised by it too.

@Link-Hero Dubbed. Ghibli films pretty much always enjoy good dubs now.
I just didn't connect with any of the characters, didn't feel any interest in the central thrust of the film (which is funny, because The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney film, and there are heavy parallels with that), and ended up feeling like a lot of the film was just there for the sake of being pretty. It felt very style over substance to me. It also felt like a children's film, as opposed to a film about childhood, which is the distinction I'd make between this and My Neighbor Totoro.
IMO none of his post-Mononoke films have lived up to the standards of his older classics, although I've come around over the years on Howl's Moving Castle. I actually enjoyed The Secret World of Arrietty more than any of Miyazaki's stuff after Princess Mononoke, tbh. And DEFINITELY Takahata's The Tale of Princess Kaguya, which is up there with the best work of the studio.
New DreamWorks movie trailer dropped, albeit for Netflix, Orion and the Dark. I like what I see so far, it kind of giving me Rise of the Guardians vibes. Also, want to see it, I use to be afraid of the dark when I was little, so I could relate to this.

watched the rest of the original The Omen this morning. still a great movie. things you never noticed the first or second time you start noticing hidden details etc from rewatching
also the rest of this weekend im going to be busy with The Omen 2, 3 and maybe Omen 4 along with Return of the Living Dead II
I watched Spirited last night. I'd never seen it, and I'd been waiting for the holiday season to watch it for the first time. It's A Christmas Carol style musical/movie with a good twist to the story - starring Will Farrell and Ryan Reynolds. It was pretty good. I will watch it again.
