The first time I went online was 4 years ago (close enough, anyway). My favourite sites were FunTrivia, the old Nintendo website, the IGN Smash Bros. board, YoYo Games, and YouTube. Now they are YouTube, NintendoLife, xkcd, and Brawl in the Family.
X-Entertainment - which is a site about 80's and early 90's Nostalgia Retro Junk - Another fantastic and even better site for 80's and early 90's Nostalgia, with tons of new Articles. IGN - I LOVED IGN back in the day, now definitly not as much as Nintendo Life takes up most of my Web Surfing Bloody Disgusting - Best Horror site around, and still love it til' this day.
I also used to be a fan of ScrewAttack when the Angry Video Game Ners hit the scene, as well as Awesome Video Games. But both have left, and there just isn't anything interesting anymore except for the hilarious 'Talking 'Classics'
Pretty much all of the popular American sports. My top 3 would have to be: 1. Tennis 2. Basketball 3.Football (random fav. order) I use to watch and play all three like crazy when I was coming up, but I really dont have the time anymore. Seems alot easier to spend time gaming then getting up with any of my friends trying to put something together we all can do.(sports related)
5 years ago: Sonic Stadium, Nintendo VIP and Newgrounds Now: Youtube, a whole bunch of blogs and small fansites, NintendoLife and still Sonic Stadium (I'm surprised that I barely post on the forums considering how often I visit the site).
You want me to remember what I was doing five years ago?!
Man, I can barely remember what I had for breakfast.
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
5 years ago? The Whirlpool (admitting to visiting a ROM hack site can't be worse than admitting to visiting porn sites?), GameSpot, Tomato's site Now? NintendoLife, kotaku, EarthBound Central, wikipedia
Then: Wikipedia, GameSpot, GameFAQs, some now closed-down Dutch forums. YouTube was new, nobody knew about it back then including me. I can't imagine life without a daily dose of YouTube nowadays.
I almost never visit GameSpot ever since that time they fired a major staff member for reviewing a game from a sponsor negatively. Really shows why independent sites such as NintendoLife are usually better.
Now: Youtube, Wikipedia, Nintendolife, VC-Forums, Backloggery (Haven't been around the latter two much lately. Should make a comeback soon), ThatGuyWiththeGlasses, Cinemassacre, Digg.com, Gamefaqs, Serebii.net (at least until my SoulSilver-induced Pokemania wears off) Facebook (sorta), pr0n
Clearly I spend a lot more time on the internet these days than I used to.
