Topic: Let's talk video game character appearance-Non-specific action figure?

Ok, just talk about what you do and do not like about video game characters, right now it's the Non-Specific Action Figure? Um... ok. No one really knows if he'll be a part of the Wii U, a game, whatever. But as some have pointed out, he looks like Captain Rainbow(I think?). We saw him in a video for what Miiverse would do. We saw him at the 3DS conference. So what's the point of all this?

As for physical appearance, he looks like a blue guy with missiles attached to his back. 'nuff said.

seems like a fun game but i get the feeling its gonna get locked by some stupid reason,i had a good game made last night...and it only lived that night

Hm... good point... but then again I had to agree that thread could've gotten nasty.

I like Mario. He's the silent hero. He's also the only one not afraid to wear a Penguin Costume. His games however don't involve too much innovation anymore. But overall, he's a cool guy who knows how to party.

Yep constantly yelling "woohoo" and "woopie" is silent.

I like Mario but when he's in games like Super Mario 64 I feel bad for him. Or when he's in a bunch of party games and kart racers. Poor guy.

Besides being the icon for video games in my opinion..
Mario seems like a happy, fun guy to be around, who makes the most out of everything.
He's not afraid of anything he has to come up against, and is always willing to help and do what is right. A real plain out Hero. Also seems to be a great leader.

I like his mustache.

People have ways of squeezing past the rules one way or another, trust me.

Mario is a pretty cool character. He can fit in pretty much every game that isn't a shooter too. But he is being overused on 3ds IMO. It would be ok if there were multiple games from Nintendo on 3ds from other series, but there isn't even a new Zelda yet! In fact, the only new games in a series by Nintendo on 3ds is Kid Icarus, Nintendogs and Pilotwings I believe, 2 of which were launch titles. Mario has a racing game, sports title, platformer, upcoming tennis, and many vc games to name some. Hopefully we get those new non-Mario games soon, before it grows old!

Now it's Link! read the first post for my opinions.

One of the biggest definitions of the word Hero, I can think of.
Strong, silent, and courageous. Like Mario (maybe even more so with Link then Mario), is not afraid to fight against evil, no matter how scary the monster looks.
Also, willing to help other people will smaller task along the way. not very romantic though. Seems to sort of ignore the flirting of women.

Well, that's true.
In alot of the newer games though (including OOT in that) he sort of ignores it. Maybe gives them a smile, but doesn't really pursue.

I prefer the Link from Skyward Sword or OoT over the cell shaded Toon Link. but nothing beats this Links design

I think the best addition to Link's outfit over the years is the chain mail armour he wears underneath his tunic in TP and SS. At last we've got a plausible reason why he can take so many hits before he dies (and it looks cool).

I haven't played Pit's new game yet but it looks like an amazing game and Pit is an awesome Nintendo character. I like his appearance and he has a charming personality and his new set of weapons look pretty badass. BTW, nice new topic. I wish came here earlier for the first two.
