A game like this would be awesome but unfortunately as @Geonjaha said, Nintendo don't seem to be willing to create inventive, unique Mario games like this anymore.
This whole idea of playing as Seperate kids is terrible. Why should Nintendo think of getting them a game rather than giving Waluigi a game?

No, you're thinking of Baby bowser who is the villain in the Yoshi's island games and is also in Mario and Luigi: Partners in time. It would also not be possible for Bowser Jr. to be a younger self of Bowser when he helps Bowser in SMS and the first two NSMB games. Also, the conversations that Bowser and Bowser Jr. have in Super Mario sunshine make it obvious that he's Bowser's son.
I rather see waluigi in a game of his own and I got my own idea of the game.
Its back in the past but its setting is in neo bowser city (a good chance of giving this place playable in a adventure game),anyway its the most high tech place in the mushroom kingdom and it got a nice lot of criminals and clans, waluigi is in a clan and steals things (in the gang there has to be a female to distract waluigi and a few other people male and maybe extra females?), anyway they are wanted criminals and the city has a prison (would it be bowser thats the warden?), later after doing a few things in neo bowser city waluigi finds out he has a brother (as I said its in the past) named wario and so waluigi seeks out for wario while trying to escape the police.This would be different from your normal mario game and maybe a open 3D world if possible and maybe use blasters?
I think I've just figured out why bowser junior wasnt in NSBM2... HES GOING TO BE DLC! THINK! ABOUT IT! REZNOR CAN'T BE AT THE END OF EVERY DLC THING! D:
