I think we need to define what an instrument is.

My computer has winamp installed and meets the criteria of definition number 2.
Mayonnaise can be view as an instrument of the evil cholesterol if you consider definition number 3.

I'm going to learn to play the ukulele this summer and eventually I want to learn to play the drums. I used to take guitar classes, but I stopped after a while because I just wasn't into it anymore.

Right now I play the piano, trumpet, and trash can (yes I said trash can). We have a trash can band at our school which sounds geeky but it's not as dumb as you think. You can make a full ensemble when you have metal trash cans, paint buckets and big, base, rubber buckets which is what I play. And also the crash cymbals. Just a few hours ago I got home from a concert where I played the trumpet and the base trash can + cymbals.
