Topic: Hey Nintendolife. Typhoon and Stuff

Hey Nintendolife, firstly, sorry for TL;DR. I've been hanging around this site for quite sometime. Not really an avid speaker so I didnt actually make an account until recently. I know that it's not my place and I know this isn't the right place to do this. But who knows, but Ive hung around here for so long. I kinda wish I talked here more. The community is so vibrant and we all share most of the same sentiments.

Anyway, I've recently learned that one of my friends died in the Philippines' storm called Haiyan. You've probably heard about it in the news, or if you haven't let me just sum it up....It's the biggest storm ever recorded in the history of the world. It just ripped the country up to shreds. No one could've prepared us for what was gonna happen.

So yeah, what's a guy like me doing here in a Nintendo forum for that matter...I came to be thick faced and ask for your help.
I made an indiegogo campaign to ask for donations. Any type of donation. Any amount to get me moving and giving aid to the affected areas.

I wont really say much, coz it's already explained there. But I digress.
I dont really care if this gets ignored. I just wanted to let you guys know that there are people struggling out there. And if you happen to have anything extra, to please help us. I dont wanna lose anymore people. Things are looking pretty apocalyptic out there.
People getting raped by escaped convicts coz the storm basically destroyed the prisons. People shooting people over food. It's a disaster. I dont want anymore bodies.

While I'd recommend you'd post that link into your sig, I thought I'd also support this post. I was lucky that my place (Metro Manila) wasn't really affected but damn the death toll is up to 3.6k, people even speculate that the number might even reach 10k. To add insult to injury, this came not too far after a devastating earthquake. I'm pitching in with the relief goods but I hope you guys could find a way to help with simple donations.

It's truly sad what happened over in the Phillipines; I feel sorry for all the people that died and I wish the best for all that survived
