Welcome! I think you might be the only person who has both 1-2-Switch and Resident Evil 7 in their favourite games list

Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music

@D20Nat20 This'll probably get shut down cos I think there's an existing 'introduce yourself' thread knocking about somewhere, but Hi, nice of you to 'lay it all out' like that. Welcome.

Based on your favourite games list, do you have a view on the best train sim avaliable for Switch - any of them worthwhile that you know of?

You guys had me at blood and semen.

I did search for intro topics but they seemed archived

Best on switch has to be either train life which is a micro management simulator it's like a cross between ets 2 and tsw it has i think 3 trains and a fictional railway spanning all of europe but strangly no cross channel tunnel, it allows you to pick a station and a job and once your route is ploted point junctions have a ui you need to set it so it's green

As a simulator it's mid in realisim you do get a reverser a horn a dvd/dvs(aka dead mans switch) but no aws you get seperate throttle and brake but the ai is meh the map is bland and route plotting is complex as you have to change to your platform once you gain station access(this feels like they got the idea from the elite series tbh) it's the cloest to ms ts/tsc/tsw/all the other pc "serrious" sims

Or by far the best is densha de go a japan import exclusive arcade game you get combined throttle brake(as per all modern trains) real jr east trains and routes and you get points for being on time dimming lights for oncoming trains(real japanese rule) using your horn for track workes and you get an alert button you must press at bridges, trackside signs ect which is to simulate the japanese saftey system pointing and calling(look it up it's a good system}

Best bus sim by far on switch is bus sim city ride which is not a suprice as bus sim 21 on xbox is the best bus sim for me a good mix of silly comedy and arcade/semi realism simulation although for a full real bus sim with real routes omsi 2 on pc is the best

mario bros wii is the best nsmb although u was fun too and the orginal ... I remember playing it at a demo kiosk in game stop and feeling like wow mario is back in his 2d home and BOOM MEGA SHROOM and wow what a game

Both the orginal and remake links awakening are good as is a link to the past ... Zelda 1 was good zelda 2 was very fun but that snes/gb/gbc era was the real start of zelda a bit like how mortal kombat 1 was ace but 2 and 3 were just wow(infact to this day i prefer mortal Kombat 3 to umk3 infact i prefer trilogy and advance to umk3)

@D20Nat20 welcome aboard it’s nice to have another metal gear fan here.

Best to worst Mgs1,mgs2 substance,mgs3 substance ,ground zeros,mgs 5 online mgs 4,metal gear,metal gear 2,phantom pain(pp just felt too vast and empty it needed way more bases to stealth in etc plus the plot was just an over complex way to introduce liquid and explain how big boss in metal gear 1 isnt big boss)

@EaglyBird mgs 1 was the greatest ps1 spy/stealth game if not best ever mgs 2 throws a new spin on the story from the start 3 turned it on its head in someways,4 was a cinematic epic and 5 was disjointed gz felt like mgs1 but open ended pp was like just cause but for me lacked the mgs charm although osolott and quiet were cool
