I'll need to actually see it to believe it. Sony can't just mention it and expect to get away with that old hat trick (man if they show it.......the interwebz will break, mark my words) Be prepared to be disappointed but as always expect the unexpected, for the great season of e3 is upon us.
I still won't trust it if I see it. We've seen it before and look where we are now.

The whole mess that is Last Guardian has really killed any and all buzz for the game. I am more excited for Half-Life 3 than Last Guardian.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

That's true. Anyways, if The Last Guardian is shown, this will easily be the best E3 in years. I mean, come on, Fallout 4, The Last Guardian, Halo 5, Uncharted 4, Star Fox, Metal Gear Solid V, Star Wars Battlefront, Street Fighter V, Batman Arkham Knight, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Doom, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, a new game from Rare (Battletoads?), a new game from Platinum Games, a new game from Retro Studios, and various other games?! The hype levels are over 1,000,000!
E3 to me is only about the new announcements(which TLG is again by now) of which I haven't seen anything of yet.
So Fallout 4, UC4, MGSV, SFV, B:AK, XCX, ME:C(meh, another remake/reboot) don't count.
@Bolt_Strike: Because the previous games (ICO * SotC) are brilliant.
@SuperWiiU To be fair, we haven't seen any actual gameplay for Fallout 4. We've just seen an in-game trailer. For me, new announcements are of course the biggest highlights, but seeing previously announced games is hype for me too, especially ones where we haven't seen gameplay (Fallout 4, Scalebound, Crackdown), or in some cases, anything coughStarFoxcough.
The thing I care the most about at E3 is gameplay. Those flashy trailers that don't represent anything in the original game are terrible. If I don't see someone playing it then I don't care.

What's up with all the announcements today? (Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, COD:BO3 last gen)
Don't they know they're not supposed to reveal stuff until the show? I mean, that is the entire point after all. Yeah, we'll still get first gameplay looks (which is most important), but it'd be even better if we got the announcement AND the first gameplay look all at once.
They must have forgotten how to do hype.
Seriously though, I think the AAA announcements are there to try and claw over each other for attention (which is a stupid idea TBH, because it does indeed remove the sense of surprise from the actual conference). Nintendo is handling it pretty well because none of the announcements they've made ahead of time are really heavy hitters, they seem to just be getting the smaller stuff out of the way first so they can focus on the heavy hitters during the Digital Event (notice how we haven't seen anything like Metroid or Animal Crossing get announced yet, bigger IPs like those will probably not be revealed ahead of time).
blopsI3 and Mirror's Edge were already known quantities though. Sonic boom was announced due to Sega not being at E3 and its not big enough of a game for Nintendo to give its own segment too. The fact that all were getting is info on known quantities and only one leak so far seems to hint at an exciting event this year. Likewise there's no reason for microsoft to spend 5 minutes talking up a new console when they don't have too.

In an interview with GameSpot Reggie confirmed unannounced 3DS titles coming to E3.
GS: Final question, there are a lot of great games coming up for the 3DS; this summer are you going to be playing something that's already out or do you think your time will be taken up by one of the upcoming games? I guess that's a roundabout way of asking what your "summer vacation" game is going to be!
Reggie: A big benefit of my job is the early hands-on access I get. Right now, I am loving Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash. This is another great example of Nintendo's ability to create a side-scrolling, re-traversal adventure. And there are other 3DS games that we will be announcing at E3 that I have been having fun with. Stay tuned!
@shingi_70 Well, Fallout 4 wasn't a known quantity. We all knew it was coming, but it wasn't technically a known quantity. This also applies to Mario & Sonic at Rio.
Sony needs to step up their game. They're getting a bit too comfortable with their sales lead. They can't run off of Microsoft and Nintendo's royal screw ups for much longer.
They mostly won due to MS/Nintendo screwing up and hyping of fans. No one seems to mention that first party wise the PS4 is way worse than the PS3 era and the other two consoles (imo)

Agreed but try telling a diehard Sony fan that the only Sony exclusive worth boasting about is Bloodborne and they will scream at you.
@Blast Exactly. Bloodborne really is the only exclusive that's worth it at the moment, unless of course you didn't own a PS3, in which case I can't recommend The Last of Us enough. The other thing I should mention is that the 3rd party multiplats don't really run that much better on the PS4. Last generation, the Xbox 360 had a huge advantage at the start because it actually ran 3rd party multiplats (and was at an actually reasonable price) well - the multiplats ran terribly on the PS3 for the first few years because devs were still figuring out the Cell architecture, which led to the huge lead the 360 had. This generation, there's no such advantage.
Can't wait to find out what Retro has been up to since DKC:TF, the new Platinum game, and this is probably the last chance at a God Eater 2 localization. I'm looking forward to it, but am prepared for utter disappointment. After all, I've been waiting for Dark Cloud 3, Mega Man Legends 3, and another Baten Kaitos for years. I'm beginning to think I have a strong masochistic side.
Sony is an interesting position where gamers and particular their fanbase give them the benefit of the the doubt moreso than Microsoft or Nintendo. People would defend the PS3 by poining out SWWS and how great thier developers were. The PS4 era of the WWS have been less games and the games that have been put out aren't particular great, and yet people still defend WWS while deriding microsoft and Nintendo's first party output. Dudes straight up hated Rise of the Tomb Raider, and yet SFV is totally okay. People are saying Phantom Dust was cancelled despite Spencer saying it wasn't and yet they still cling on hope that The Last Guardian is a thing. (which it could be i guess)

Prediction: Square Enix will announce Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix and 2.5 HD Remix Remastered for XB1/PS4 with the reasoning of tiding people over for KH3 and that they wanted Xbox owners to have the chance to catch up on the story.

Yeah pretty much. I've been saying that since 2.5 released. KH3 definitely won't come out this year, so they'll pad out the release schedule with a next-gen version of those games.
