I was thinking 70's shaft. it was his thing back in the day. Would totally be out of left field if Retro did a game about him.

I am over the moon for Mirror's Edge...still nothing pushing me to buy a system yet though.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 was just confirmed for last gen consoles, and no, it won't be coming to Wii U. The IGN comments section is rampant with either people bashing the Wii U or people complaining about not moving on to current gen consoles.

Halo 5 is launching with at least 20 multiplayer maps at launch and all of the DLC maps will be free and ther'e going to be at least 16 by this time next year.

I'm hoping Sqaure Enix will reveal more details about Kingdom Hearts 3.

Sounds like Microsoft are trying to directly compete against Splatoon. If this ends up being real (things can change) then it sure makes the 5 launch maps + 9 free DLC very small in comparison.

All I want is a new Metroid.

Don't they know they're not supposed to reveal stuff until the show? I mean, that is the entire point after all. Yeah, we'll still get first gameplay looks (which is most important), but it'd be even better if we got the announcement AND the first gameplay look all at once.

I think it is just speculation, I haven't seen anything that makes that sound true.

What? It's Halo, aimed at adults and "hardcore" gamers. It is not trying to compete with Splatoon. Especially considering both games are about as different as can be. That'd be like saying Splatoon is directly competing with minecraft just because they both gave free updates. Halo is just competing with any other First Person Shooter on the market at the time of its release. Definitely not Splatoon.

The only real problem with splatoon is how little content was in the game at launch especially map wise. As for competing I thin most companies are starting to see free DLC is the best thing for games. Turn 10 and forza has had free maps for awhile now and the only paid DLC are cars.

I'm hoping Star Fox Wii U and Zelda Wii U. I just bought a Wii U and I won't be buying an NX or any Nintendo system. I don't even know why a new system is being discussed when the Wii U just came out. I still think the Wii U is Nintendo's best system so far due to playing Wii games as well and old digital content. I am impressed with the Wii U, but I hope Madden will come out on it and I can use the gamepad to design my own plays. I would love to see Madden at E3 for the Wii U as a result. Also, I would like to see more 3rd party titles including Star Wars titles. I hope old Arcade games are modernized and released on the Wii U as well.

I didn't read all of it, but I saw the all maps free thing and that is interesting. It does make me wonder what other kinds of charges they are going to try to have, but giving them the benefit of the doubt then that is impressive.

Seriously though, I think the AAA announcements are there to try and claw over each other for attention (which is a stupid idea TBH, because it does indeed remove the sense of surprise from the actual conference). Nintendo is handling it pretty well because none of the announcements they've made ahead of time are really heavy hitters, they seem to just be getting the smaller stuff out of the way first so they can focus on the heavy hitters during the Digital Event (notice how we haven't seen anything like Metroid or Animal Crossing get announced yet, bigger IPs like those will probably not be revealed ahead of time).

I'll need to actually see it to believe it. Sony can't just mention it and expect to get away with that old hat trick (man if they show it.......the interwebz will break, mark my words) Be prepared to be disappointed but as always expect the unexpected, for the great season of e3 is upon us.
