Star Fox looks like a Wii port, I understand the Wii U can't handle PS4/Xbox graphics, but have you seen those textures? That's not really a pretty game.
What are you talking about? Are you looking at the treehouse event? It looks sleek.
Its so weird that the PS4 is still getting all these exclusive Japanese games, you'd think with how dire the Japanese market is when it comes to consoles (PS4 isn't selling) you'd think all these titles from SE and the such would be multiplatform between all three consoles. Though Making a Big Budget JRPG that doesn't have Fantasy or Pokemon these days seems fool hardy.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
If they are really developing home console games for NX to present next year it's a colossal mistake. How are they going to sell another console. They should concentrate their efforts on the Wii U for at least 3 more years.
You are aware that would give the Wii U a 6-7 year life span right? That's more than what they give to their BEST selling systems.
So? The best selling system (Wii) had technological problems, you needed to move to HD... the Wii U has no such limitations.
The Wii U is technologically behind it's competitors, just like the Wii was...
You replace consoles when sales dip. The Wii U hasn't hit that point yet, but I strongly believe it's going to next year. It doesn't matter how many games they put on the system. There is a limited market for it, and interest wanes over time. When the market overall is small, you are going to lose that interest faster.

The best parts of the Digital Event for me were Star Fox Zero, Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam Bros., Triforce Heroes(Not so much, really) and Mario Maker, Fire Emblem Fates... I think that's all.
Animal Crossing Festival whatever SHOULD NOT EXIST. What in blazes? Please scrap the idea and use it to make a true Animal Crossing.
Mertoid Prime: Federation (I can't remember now) was a shocker for me, really. Not exactly a good shocker, too. It doesn't even look like Samus will be in the game... and Blastball is not a new IP. Ugh...
OK, I think that covers about it. Bottom line, most of the games shown in the Digital Event were perfect for a Nintendo Direct. And there were certainly not enough juicy surprises and details. Not what I had in mind, to be honest.
It was alright, but there weren't many Wii U games shown. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if the NX gets released next year.
Wii U doesn't seem to be over yet, there's several games that haven't been shown off yet. Zelda is delayed. We still know nothing about what Retro and Next Level are working on. Pokken is likely to get a Wii U port. There's another Mario game in development. I think the Wii U is getting one last wave of games in 2016 and then it's moving on.
Metroid Federation Force and Metroid Blast Ball are Next Level's game.
But that has me scratching my head as to how that project took 2 years to show.

The weirdest thing about the Nintendo Digital Event is that there are still like half a dozen Wii U games coming out this year that I've got my eye on, but I've never been so bored to be a Wii U owner. That event succeeded in sucking the excitement right out of me, it was so dull.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
I think this E3 was so disappointing is because fatal frame was not here but was shown in an ANOTHER DIRECT, project treasure wasnt here but shown in ANOTHER DIRECT, devils third....and so on. Nintendo needs to stop with the direct because they are taking away from the E3. Nintendo is also refusing to listen to what fans want....We want a REAL metroid game...we want a REAL wii U animal crossing..... sigh

Which is the point. It was rushed. It wasn't handled with care. It's like Nintendo took one of its top 10 franchises and decided to release a 'fast food' version of it to appease the masses and get them to stop asking about it.
I can't imagine Retro, who only releases a game every 3-4 years, is wasting time developing for the obviously dying Wii U. Their next title will most certainly be on whatever NX is.
Nintendo has just shown us all that they no longer believe in the Wii U. It's not even debatable. They have shifted their focus (and obviously their resources) towards whatever their future hardware is. They are looking for a fresh start.
I REALLY want to be excited for Federation Force and Blast Ball. The opening cinematic for Federation Force looked great, and Blast Ball looked really fun at the NWCs.
But I really couldn't care less about co-op multiplayer. I'm a really competitive person, so the idea of working together to take down enemies doesn't sound fun to me at all.
And while I see the potential of Blast Ball, I need to see how much more they are planning on including.
And the dearth of Wii U adventure games continues. Like seriously. XCX is the only one they showed. I think the Wii U has enough action by now.

I'm actually really excited for FE X SMT but I've already had debated with so many people about it that i'm tired. The game is coming out the way it is so.....Too bad
