Bethesda has this nasty obsession with the first person. When that goes away, I'll check out their games. But until then, I'd rather not get a headache.

Yeah. I know right XD. The moment they said double screen was a gimmick, Nintendo popped into my head. Youch, poor Nintendo.
On hype alone (even without the gameplay), the game is probably game of the year.
If I'm gonna be frank, everyone jumped on the ridiculous console double screen bandwagon. And it kind of is a gimmick in most single player games. It looks like a gimmick in Fallout too. That's part of why the Wii U Gamepad isn't really coming off as revolutionary.

The new DOOM has movement options, tons of weapons, an extensive map editor, and Brutal DOOM executions? YES. I want all of it and I would prefer it as soon as possible.
Battlecry is still a thing, and my opinion has remained unchanged; it looks like Team Fortress 2 if it had no cohesive style and the combat looked unexciting.
Bethesda wants to get that Hearthstone money with The Elder Scrolls: Legends.
Fallout 4 looks pretty neat and seems to be changing a ton of stuff for the better. Admittedly, some of that stuff looks a bit out-of-place in a (post?) post-apocalyptic setting, like calling in a vertibird and using a jetpack, but I'm always up for fun before realism in service of poorly-written stories.
Overall, it was a pretty good conference.

You can call it a gimmick, you can call it a xdjjgdrj . its still awesome with Wii U games and made them much more fun to play.
It's a decent, but unnecessary, supplemental experience. Usually, especially with applications like Smart Glass, it's there for the sake of being there.

Now I play the waiting game for the PC recommended specs to be announced for Fallout 4 and see if I need to upgrade. I'll probably have to upgrade for The Witcher 3, so might as well. I want to run Fallout 4 at 4k 60fps. But I really do want the game to look the best as it can,
