Topic: Games you'd recommend to a lapsed fan?

Back in the day I used to be a massive JRPG fan. I really enjoyed games like Final Fantasy(VII to X-2), Grandia, Wild arms, Skies of Arcadia, Breath of Fire IV, Lost Odyssey etc. I then experienced a glut of games that were just kinda disappointing. Not bad games, just not on the same level. Games like Octopath Traveller, FFXII to FFXV, the Xenoblade Series, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Dragon Quest series, The tales series.

I was beginning to think I'd just outgrown the genre, then this year I got FFVII Remake and Ys VIII. They both massively surpassed my expectations, and made me like the genre again.

Are there any games that you've played recently, that you'd recommend to a lapsed fan of any genre?
