@NeonPizza Haha I remember that contest I sent in a bunch of them but alas they never got picked. I think only two came from that Wind Man and Knight Man. But you can see a few of them look similar to ones in later games.

I remember that MM6 was one of those games that where always rented out at my local video store. I was greeted with an just the cardboard box and no plastic case behind it which is how the rental place did it every time. To be fair I think it was always out because those who weren't fortunate to have a SNES or Genesis would rent it as it was one of the last decent NES games for the consoles swan song. I didn't play Mega Man 6 till years later when I got the Anniversary Collection on GameCube, I still want to know whose bright idea it was to switch A and B for attack and jump. Still I played it through and finished it and was glad I didn't waste the rental money on that one.

For me too the serious peaked at 4 I have only played 5 and 6 maybe 5 times in my life time and that's being generous. I still have yet to play 9 and 10 but part of me is afraid too on modern consoles.

Again, for the sixth time. Have a friend who had a bad, first time playing the game. I went through with him on his second playthrough. I think he has a better opinion of the game now.

@NeonPizza Yeah my brother and I drew about a half dozen or so for that contest but as I said, We never heard back. I was lucky enough to have a sub to Nintendo Power back in the day my parents were greatful that I was reading something lol. My first issues was the Mega Man II issue and I had a sub up until the N64 era. Magazines were so awesome back then. The colorful covers and the awesome articles. Full detailed maps.of every level my pre-teen mind couldn't handle it. Writers weren't afraid to write the truth if a game stunk they warned you about it, not like now where big companies force sites and Youtubers to give positive reviews or else blacklist them. It seemed like forever though waiting each month for the next issue, two when I first started. Then there were the give aways and the contests OMG. Imagine the excitement when I got a copy of Dragon Warrior for free from them!!!

Yeah at the time I got the Anniversary collection I only had a Gamecube so that's what I had to get. I heard from somewhere that the Xbox version you can map the buttons how you want them but yeah that always made no sense to for the GameCube version. I guess its like you said devs saw that big green button and said that must be the action button.

I beleve I have the Legacy Collection somewhere maybe on PS4, Switch or Series X, I should fire it up at least for 9. I agree that playing 1-6 is just brutal. I am not sure which rather play the lagfest that is the Legqcy Collection or button swap on the GameCube lol. I just need to fire up the Delorean and go back to 1990 to play Mega Man 2 for the first time lol.

Hoosha...!
I finished Gravity Circuit PS5 just now! 😄
Untitled

It was amazing indie game with Megaman style gameplay and amazing OST. 😃
The gameplay was pretty hard, even I played on Easy Mode but still manageable.
The OST, OMG.... 11 from 10 !!! 🥰
I like every single songs from Gravity Circuit, moreover I used some of Gravity Circuit OST for my storytelling Wolfgang the Police Wolf since last year.
My personal score for Gravity Circuit = 8 from 10.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

Laika: Aged Through Blood (Switch). Wow...what a game! It's so criminal this game flew under the radar for the most part. Yes, the controls can be real pain but once it "clicks" then you'll be riding, flipping and taking out the bad guys in style. Yes, there are times you'll get a little annoyed when you die from landing wrong. However, there's plenty of saves all over the place so you don't have to catch up too much.

Such a unique take on the traditional 'metroidvania' genre. The story is very mature, dark and the soundtrack just takes the game to whole different level (I even purchased it on bandcamp with a tip to support how much I loved it). Strongly recommend this game but you must put in the time with the controls.

This fire is burning and it's out of control. It's not a problem you can stop it's Rock and Roll!!!

Mega Man 4 - I’m conflicted over whether or not I like this one more than 5. On one hand, it’s more challenging, which surprisingly increases the fun factor for me. However, most of the robot masters are among the hardest bosses in the series; particularly Ring Man, Pharoah Man, Dive Man, and Skull Man. Toad Man and Bright Man, however, are push-overs. Dust Man and Drill Man are pretty annoying, but still aren’t too bad. The fortress bosses are fine for the most part, though the big Met is a big exception. The final boss also sucks, though the music is epic as all heck. Speaking of the soundtrack, it’s pretty catchy, though the only ones I really like are Ring Man’s stage theme, Skull Man’s stage theme, the final boss theme, and the credits theme. Overall, I think it ties with 5. It’s great if you’re looking for a challenge.

@StewdaMegaManNerd The problem with 4 is that they made everything alot more durable so you have to use charge shots on them. They introduced the Megabuster in 4 and they damn well want you to use it. You can still pepper the enemies with normal shots but you have to have a fast button pressing finger.

Mega Man 4 was the last one in the series before things became stale. It did introduce some series staples like having 2 fortresses that you go through which would carry over to Mega Man 5 and 6. It was original in the fact that at first you thought it was another villian rather then Wily behind it all which for some reason they decided to recycle in 5 and 6. Still 4 doesnt top 2 or 3 but its definitely the last original Mega Man.

Beat expert mode in Super Monkey Ball jr. A very neat game, impressive they made a perfectly playable Monkey Ball game on GBA.

There is a master mode, but I don't think I'm trying to get that.

Finally finished my second playthrough of Red Faction Guerilla Remastered (Switch). I bumped this one up to the front of the line again because this time I wanted to beat it without those game hacking backpacks. I originally beat this back in 2022. However, back then I was right towards the end of the game when I realized the various backpacks (like the rocket one and especially the invisibility one) I was using weren't originally a part of the single player campaign. Using them really broke the game. Yes, it was really fun causing all sorts of havoc but I didn't know they were added in to the campaign long afterward by the developers for kicks. Ever since then it always bugged me that I beat it using basically "hacks". Well, I beat it without them and the game was just as fun as I remember it.

Just got my 120th star in Super Mario Galaxy (Mario 3D All Stars). Maybe the third time I've got all 120 stars? (I've never done so w/ Luigi though)

Game is great - hell, it's 3D Mario - and it still holds up. I do find though in 2025 that I have some issues w/ Mario Galaxy's unique gimmicks - mostly motion controls and the gravity gimmicks. The latter in particular, coupled with an often dodgy camera, could make some stars unpleasant. I think because of this I'd actually place Galaxy as my second least favourite of the 3D Marios, above 64, but below 3D Land/World, Sunshine and Odyssey (I've not played Galaxy 2).

Still, great game that I'll inevitably go back to at some point - maybe finally beat it as Luigi.

New Super Mario Bros. U (Switch version)
After 4 years neglecting it, I finally decided to finish this game but the Mii Modes are nowhere near complete. Now I'm in New Super Luigi U (Switch version).

Once I finish Luigi U, I'll wait until I get a Switch 2 to play the Mii Modes with the free upgrade.

Beat most of the games in Capcom Fighting Collection 2

Capcom Vs Snk 2 - My fav game in the collection, I've had it on gamecube for decades, but it's nice to play on a bigger screen and with a decent sized d-pad to boot!

Capcom Vs SNK Pro - Also a great game, I think I actually might prefer the backgrounds in this one. Geese gave me some real trouble at the end.

Power Stone: Don't have as much experience with this one, even on the second lowest difficulty setting the ai was just kicking my ass haha. I like that final boss was some kind of Resident Evil like abomination.

Project Justice: Not a game I've played before. I know Batsu from Tatsunoko vs Capcom on wii, so I used him primarily. He actually might be one of my fav fighting game characters, awesome move set. Very fun game overall with an interesting roster and mechanics.

Plasma Sword: Another first for me. Very solid fighter, that I'm just scratching the surface of, I used Hayato. I feel like this game might've started life as a star wars game, or at least is heavily influenced by it. Sci-fi setting, light sabers (plasma swords), and there's a character that's basically Chewbacca.

Beat Onimusha 2. I was tempted to get the switch version but then I saw it was a 14GB download which is oddly huge, even DMC3 is only 5GB, I just really don't have the space on my switch rn. Anyway, I just booted up my PS2 copy as I still had a hankering to play it. It's still a beautiful game, at least it looked great on my CRT tv. These games have always had really impressive FMV movies for the major cutscenes that still hold up. The one that opens Onimusha 3 is particularly epic, which I always found kind of funny as it's so grandiose, it basically steals the thunder of the rest of the game that follows.

Kraven

I just beat Doom: The Dark Ages last night and got the platinum trophy. It was an excellent game and really became superb from Chapter 6 onwards and didn’t slow down its pace. There were a few issues I had with it, but overall, I think it’s my favorite in the modern trilogy. I also got the platinum trophy in Clair Obscur a week ago, so I’m feeling pretty good with my accomplishments. I’m now going to chill to something less draining mentally and physically.

Just completed Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Loved it, did all the side missions and then whooped the final boss.
Some of the Brother attacks were memory based so could never pull some of them off.
Now I need a game that will last me 6 days as hopefully my Switch 2 should be here with MarioKart

i just finished zelda ocarina of time on switch online after about 50 hours of gameplay over the last few months, and i have to say now i understand why its widely considered one of the best games of all time. the open world and side missons are very impressive, and mustve been mind blowing when it released. i love the gameplay and the puzzles, although im embarrassed to admit i used some walkthroughs, oops! 💔 i also love love LOVE the music and the music elements. anyways, not as good as botw and totk for me but its probably cause i played them first. i loved the story and lore in this game though, and enjoyed all the cutscenes. i kinda rushed through the end cause i wanted to get to mario kart world and see the full power of the handsome switch 2, but the final boss was really fun once i got green potion. beautiful game😻 9/10 (FOR ME!!) also please shut up navi

BRING NINJI INTO MARIO KART WORLD RIGHT NOW.
five favorite games of all time:
1. splatoon 3
2. minecraft
3. mother 2
4. xenoblade chronicles 3
5. zelda majoras mask
