I've finished Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel. (Yep, I've been in a Battle Network mood this year.) Overall, a pretty good game, and definitely a lot better than BN1 and 4. I don't like the liberation missions that much though... particularly how you have to finish the battles in three turns or less. (This applies to their boss fights too, but their HP doesn't get recovered until it's the darkloid phase, so they're not as bad.) The later missions were a pain to go through, especially. So yeah, the liberation missions were my biggest gripe with BN5. Ah yeah, the encounter rate got pretty bad for me at times in the late game too. I'd run for like three seconds, and the game decided to throw a battle at me.
It isn't a new game to me, I've finished Team ProtoMan years ago. I remember liking a lot of the other playable navis in that version, but I'm in no rush to revisit it. Just started BN6: Cybeast Gregar yesterday.

Starwing (Star Fox Super Nintendo)
One of my favourites. This time I finished the upper path. Everyone survived and I did not even lose one life. Hopefully I can finish the hardest route someday. I should buy Star Fox 64.
Mega Man 5 - criminally underrated, such a solid game with a pretty good soundtrack; the title, password, Wily level, and final boss themes are absolutely killer. The levels are fun, and the bosses are decent. A fun time.
Mega Man X2 - looking at the general opinion of this game, I think it’s safe to say it’s extremely overrated. Sure, X is more powerful and has his dash from the start, but other than that and some other QOL improvements, this game is a massive step down from its incredible predecessor. It’s incredibly boring, the music sucks, and it has some of the worst bosses in the franchise. Easily my least favorite of the X games and one of my least favorites in the franchise.
Mega Man Zero 2 - also extremely overrated. Might be my least favorite Mega Man game overall. It combines the mediocrity of X2 with the crap of Zero 1. The soundtrack has some good ones, though all of it is obviously ruined by the GBA’s sound chip. The game is incredibly unfair for newcomers, with many things flying at you and only coming on screen right before they hit you. The bosses kind of suck, and the final boss is probably the lamest final boss ever. The plot is ruined almost entirely by Ciel’s character (think the most generic one-sided love interest possible, and you have Ciel. Please stop shipping her with Zero; he deserves better), but luckily Elpizo is bursting with charm in his character. So why the heck did he have to disappear from the story after this game?! He would have easily been one of the best supporting characters in the franchise! WHY DIDN’T WE GET MORE OF HIM?! The guardians are back, and they’re even dumber now. Oh, and Phantom’s gone, because he decided to go boom in the previous game (Zero nearly got a taste of his own medicine). The levels range from boring (the stupid disappearing crystal cave level) to borderline rage-inducing (the abysmal bomb-disable level). Avoid this game at all costs.
I was diligent and beat four Super Nintendo games.
1. Super Mario World was a lot easier to beat than I remember. Is it just me or is Wonder actually more challenging? Anyway, it still is a classic.
2. The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse is awesome. Full with Disney's classic magic.
3. Pinocchio is another nice Disney game but I did not grow up with it. I know that I wanted to play it though.
4. I did it, I beat Starwing or Star Fox on the highest difficulty with no more retries left and a half life, phew.
Freedom Planet, I have it for Wii U, but was playing it on PC.
I haven't played this one in a long time, but I never beaten it until today. Just wanted to play one of my favorite indie games recently, and I played through Lilac's adventure. What a game! Loved the story, and the game itself was fun. Even teared up at the story, and it got really exciting towards the end.
Love this game, and glad I beat one of the three character's stories today. Yes, I love how this game feels like classic Sonic with its own twist.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!

I would say World and Wonder are pretty similar difficulty, although with Wonder having a few more optional challenging levels. Granted, World feels super easy if you've played it a lot already but I assume that will eventually be true with Wonder as well. For me, smb1, smb3, smw, and smbu all feel extremely easy after playing far far too much mario maker.
I've finished Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar. In other words, I've finished every Battle Network game and saved the cyber world for good. I've also acquired every cross transformation in that version, and did most of the side quests. It is a good game for sure, I liked its story, and the cross and beast out transformations are great to use. Those transformations make MegaMan incredibly powerful in this game, lol... so much so, that they've made the game kind of easy compared to its predecessors. But I still had a good time with it. Since I've finished the whole series, here's how I would rank each entry...
3 > 2 > 6 > 5 > 1 > 4
Can't believe I'm all done with the series... and while going through the Legacy Collection, I've finished 1 thru 4 for the first time. Think I'm ready for a Star Force collection now... once Capcom decides to green light it, of course.
"Jack in! MegaMan, execute!"
@Jhena Nice job on finishing those games. Yeah, Super Mario World is one of the easier games in the series from my experience, especially after playing through it so many times as a kid, lol. And honestly, I'd love to try out that Magical Quest game you've mentioned, especially since I've been in a Disney mood lately. I'm hoping it will get rereleased somehow on the Switch or something.

@MarioVillager92
I would definitely recommend The Magical Quest. A rerelease would be great, especially if they also include part 2 and 3, because I never played those.
And congratulations on finishing the Mega Man Battle Network series. I have to play it someday, because I think I will like it.
@MarioVillager92 If the first game’s a pain (curse you water guy/Maddie/Count Zap/Yuri, I am not looking forward to the fourth game. And yes I also will gladly take a Star Force collection. Kind of wish they did a Zero/Zx and released a Battle Network/Star Force collection; I’d gladly pay $60 for that.
@Jhena Yeah wasn't the third game Japan-only? Would love to see all three games bundled, I would definitely buy it. In the meantime, I could play Castle of Illusion since I have a Sega Genesis Mini. Thanks for the congrats if you like what you see of the Battle Network games I'd definitely recommend it.
@StewdaMegaManNerd Yeah, BN4 is a bit rough around the edges. A couple parts of the game were a pain to go through, and you'd have to finish the game multiple times to get all the double souls and the best battle chips. Why would they do that? For BN1, I didn't like the ElecMan stage and how you can't escape from battles unless you have at least one escape chip in your folder.

Pilotwings Resort (3DS): After 9 years, I returned to playing on Sunday. There was very little left to 100%, and I finished the game last night.
All missions with perfect scores, and I got all collectibles in free flight mode.
It's one of my favorite games on the 3DS, very fun, challenging, and has one of the best stereoscopic 3D effects on the system.
But while playing, I had a bad surprise. The battery on my 3DS XL is lasting much less than usual. The last time I calculated, it lasted about 4 hours and 40 minutes (with the 3D effect at half and brightness at 4), and now I noticed that the battery is only lasting about 3 hours and 20 minutes. I still need to test how long the battery will last by playing Virtual Console games and Nintendo DS games.
Seriously, this made me very sad, especially since I don't have a replacement system. It took me a long time to try to buy a New 3DS XL, and when I went to look for it, it was sold out everywhere (in early 2020).
I knew this would happen sooner or later, but I didn't want this time to come.
Wave Race 64 (Nintendo 64)
This game is simply perfect. It feels so satisfying to race through the waves. The music is pure and relaxing. A new Wave Race is one of my biggest hopes.
Just beat Mega Man 6 a couple days ago, and while it’s a solid entry, it’s definitely the most forgettable in the Classic series. The music’s a mixed bag, with some great beats and some forgettable melodies. The bosses are mostly alright, though some (Tomahawk Man and the second Mr. X level boss) are much harder than they need to be, while some (pretty much every Wily battle, including his battle while he’s disguised as Mr. X) are stupidly easy. The main gimmick is the super adapter, which merges Rock and Rush together to form either Jet Mega Man or Power Mega Man. An interesting pre-cursor to the Biometal gimmick in the ZX games. The story is incredibly stupid, as per usual. Basically the world’s strongest robots have entered a tournament, only for the sponsor, Mr. X, to reprogram the robots and go for world domination. Mega Man then goes and murderlizes the robots and attempts to send Mr. X to the timeout chair, only for Mr. X to reveal that he was actually just Dr. Wily wearing a robe and funny glasses. Mega Man then has to go through a whole ‘nothet fortress to reach Wily, and he then beats and arrests Dr. Wily. And Proto Man doesn’t ever appear in the story for some reason. Anyway, it’s a good game, but it’s probably in the middle of my ranking of the Classic games. Happy gaming, everyone!
@StewdaMegaManNerd Yeah by the time 6 rolled around the series was starting to get a little stale. If I remember correct Capcom didnt even publish the game for NA as they were too busy working on SNES games at the time, Nintendo themselves published it. As the for the last hurrah for classic eight bit sprite Mega Man (well untill Mega Man 9) it was a decent enough send off. The story is classic Mega Man saturday morining cartoon kinda of thing which is one reason I do like the classic series over Mega Man X, it doesnt take itself all to serious. I mean come on is there honestly a person out there that thought for a minute that Mr. X was not Wily lol. Typical Saturday Morning cartoon villain shenanigans. It reminds me of Dr. Claw's agents in Inspector Gadget wearing nothing but a mustache as a disguise yet Inspector Gadget is clueless lol.
But yeah most of the Robot Masters were forgettable and so are the stages. I will say the music was better then 5 especially Tomahawk Man's and Flame Man's. The Rush suits was a cool idea but to be honest just made Rush kinda of pointless. I would love to see the suits return but more as items like the wire adapter or balloon adapter in Mega Man 4. Have a Rush Jet, Rush Coil but also include different suits like a Power Suit and maybe some others like an underwater one or something I dont know. But making it where Rush merged with Mega Man just seemed pointless.
Overall a good game but skippable. They are better more rememable games in the series like 2, 3 and even 4. Still as I said a good send off to the series on the NES.
