Topic: Final Fantasy vs Dragon Quest

Going with final fantasy as ive never played a mainline dragon quest game. (Plan to remedy that with ix). Enjoy more serious story telling.

But if square really wanted my money we would getting the rest of the snes games remade for 3ds and having chrono trigger remake and maybe a srquel.

get the DS version of Chrono Trigger

and no, no more remakes unless it's Capcom giving MML another chance (and maybe Majora's Mask because, they already did OOT anyway). At least not at full price. Not anytime soon.

What? FF vs DQ? Ah, excuse me but in the most kindest way I can do it I've got to say that there IS NOOOOOOO comparison between Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Dragon Quest wins by a long shot.

I mean, I really and truly enjoy Final Fantasy, most especially Final Fantasy VII, III DS, IV and the Disney Final Fantasy cross over in KH but if I had to go with one ultimately I'd side with Dragon Quest.

Going to Pick up some Dragon quest games. Maybe in January when I have pretty much a drought before Re: revelations, and Mass effect 3.

Mother and Dq are kinda similar(both great).....I have had more experience FF though....Kingdom Hearts wins!

Also doesn't it really depend on what Type of style you want in games.

As Far as style goes Toriyama's has to me become a little boring. Between Dragon Ball,Blue Dragon, and the Dragon wuest series he has become really overexposed.

As for Final Fantasy I would love to a mix of Amano/Nomura/Sakaguchi styles meeting a nice balance between the cyberpunk and high Fantasy style. either that or alternate the styles every main series game.

I've played FF, but could never really get into it. I find Dragon Quest to be a lot more enjoyable, especially because of the great enemy design. Makes every battle interesting.
