Kind of annoying that Agents of SHIELD is behind US pace by about 4 episodes, but we're getting Age of Ultron over a week early. I've got tickets to go see Age of Ultron tomorrow, but the Agents episodes that tie into it are still 5 weeks away.

Have they said the Age of Ultron tie-in is in the last episode of the season? I figured it was going to tie-in either next episode or the one after that. To show either the beginning of Age of Ultron or the aftermath. I don't think the tie-in is only in the last episode of the season. I could be wrong, just asking where they announced that.

I'm not seeing the tie in just yet either. It's definitely not apparent like Winter Soldier was. Of course next episode might tell a lot.

Next week's US episode and the week after are supposed to be the ties in, one set before, one set after.

Were you saying that in the UK Agents of Shield is behind US Agents of Shield and UK's Age of Ultron release?

Which brings up something important. With different regions comes different release dates for Age of Ultron. How long should we Spoiler Tag anything related to AoU?

I was a loyal reader of Marvel comics for many years, but lately I've lost much interest for 2 main reasons. The price of each comic is ($3.99) and the constant reboots. I don't even care about the cinematic universe as much as a result.

I'm enjoying Manga much more these days and it is a much more affordable hobby frankly.

I find manga to be a much more expensive hobby than comic books.

I will say I dropped comics years ago for many of the same reasons... the drama....sooo much drama. I've gone back to Marvel for certain events (though One More Day made me stop reading spiderman permanently) but in general I get to read more varied subject matter and get an actual end to many series as they have one author (or a group). Still I think Marvel is more organic than DC. Read DC for gods and Marvel for people.

Price I think has more to do with how you get your manga. If you import (which I do depending on the series) then yeah that gets expensive fast.

Anyone else think that Daredevil's ending felt a little rushed? He made very little progress against Fisk over the course of the prior 12 episodes, but then the dirty cop showed up and all of Fisk's plans came crashing down in a single episode.

Agreed. I just binged that series. It felt like Fisk's house of cards fell though sorta abruptly. Fisk is amazing by the way. Kingpin has always been my favorite villain because he makes more sense to me than say mr sinister or dr doom. Being evil for the lulz just puts me to sleep but Fisk always seemed closer to the villains that exist in the real world that have motivations and that while they are still monsters they are often monsters that care for something/someone.

The way I see it, Manga is generally $12 a book at the store. a comic issue is generally $4 a book at a store. Manga is normally longer, maybe equaling 3 comics so it is about even there. I just find it easier to throw out $4 here and there for issues then I do throwing out $12. I am so far behind on Fairy Tail for that reason and I am scared to try to get into another Manga series because of the price.

EDIT: Just talked to my coworker about it and he says there is more content in a Manga Volume for $12 compared to the comics you can buy with $12, but since you can buy 3 different series for $12 with comic books, it feels like more than the 1 series you can buy with the $12 of Manga. Maybe that is why I feel like I get a better deal with comic books.

Dumped most of my Marvel pulls becuase its so expensive. At this point i'm only reading Ms. Marvel, Howard the Duck, Inuman, and Star Wars. I typically read DC month to month, indie books in trade, and the Marvel stuff I wait to fall onto Marvel Unlimited.

WAT!

Yup. Age of Ultron is out here in the UK tomorrow, but we've only seen episode 14 of Season 2 (while in the US, Episode 18 was shown yesterday). I don't know how much episodes 19 and 20 tie into the movie, but it's a little frustrating that they can't plan these things out better.

As for the price of comics, I'm a huge fan of Marvel Unlimited. You have to wait 6 months for comics to show up on there, but it's fantastic value. I've got about 900 comics from the last 3 years on my to read list, so the 6 month wait is really moot.

@Peach64 alright your comment makes a lot more sense now.

I too have Marvel Unlimited. I used it to read through Civil War. I am about to finish it and now I need to find something else to read lol.

On another note. I keep seeing how Joss Whedon is leaving the MCU, does that mean he has zero involvement with AoS now? I know he didn't have much but I was hoping with him not working on a movie he could focus on the show now.

I've just gone onto Rotten Tomatoes to see the consensus about Avengers 2 and came across this tag line "A $250 million pile of poo."

I'm not bother by it, I'm sure I'll enjoy it but I'll keep my expectations low as it probably won't be better then the first one. I'm more interested in Cap 3 and the next Avengers with the Infinity Stones!

I can't get into the idea of the next Avengers, splitting it into 2 movies always annoys me especially when there's gonna be two movies in between.

In any case I'm off to see Avengers in a couple of hours

I think people were expecting Avengers 2 to build up the universe a lot more than it did. (I haven't seen it) I am expecting this to be another story for Avengers and not the next big thing in the MCU. Avengers 1 didn't really change the MCU, so I am not expecting Avengers 2 to. After Cap 2 I think people were expecting a bigger change I n MCU than what happened to S.H.I.E.L.D.

But that is just a theory, a Marvel theory

I really enjoyed it. It's just as good as the first one, but obviously you can't repeat that magic of seeing them all come together for the first time. Personally, when I saw the first one, I hadn't really LOVED any of the Marvel movies. I'd liked them quite a lot, but then Avengers came along and was such a higher standard, it was a big surprise and that's probably partly why I think of the movie so fondly. This time expectations are much higher as they've been on a roll.
