@Spoony_Tech Yeah I should give it another chance I keep saying I will especially since the first season is on Netflix but every time I go to watch I usually watch something else.

On my first attempt with AoS I lost interest after 5th(ish) episodes but then I saw Winter Solider so I was curious how it'll effect AoS, I watched the entire first series and I was still unimpressed with it. I've started the 2nd series but I've given up with it again around the 3rd/4th episode, I'll probably give the 2nd series another shot as I’ve heard Lucy Lawless comes back and it has the Inhumans.

I'm guessing the "it does get good” parts which I've heard multiple people say is due to the twists which tbh I don't really care about as the characters are so bland which I'm really surprised about as Joss Whedon shows are great at having an interesting cast of characters.

Joss Whedon isn't there every day, which I think has affected the show. I also think having his name attached to the show affected people's expectations. I enjoy Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but can understand why others don't. I find it better watching multiple episodes in a row on Netflix rather than watching it week to week on TV.

Whedon has managed to do multiple projects at the same time before, at one point he had Angel, Buffy and Firefly on the go and besides the odd episode here and there he doesn't actually direct/write that many of them. I don't know, in theory Whedon + Marvel universe seems like a perfect show.

You guys know its not a Joss show right. While its production company the show runners are his brother and sister in law. Joss actually has little input on the show, now he may put in more input for the Ultron tie in episoides but who knows.

Marvel released a plot summary for Civil War

Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies."

By the time the film is released the MCU hero community will be a bit bigger

Iron Man
Captain America
Thor
Hulk
Black Widow
Nick Fury
Hawkeye
Quicksilver
Scarlet Witch
The Vision
War Machine
The Falcon
Ant-man
Black Panther
Spider-man
Daredevil
Jessica Jones
Luke Cage
Quake
Deathlok
Mockingbird

well last night's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was ok. It didn't do much except set up the next episode. I wonder how it is going to tie into Age of Ultron. If they just keep doing 1 episode a week then Ultron will release with 3 more episodes in Season 2, if episodes stay to once a week.

@DefHalan

I enjoyed it much more than the previous episode that had the Masters of Evil. It was ton of set up for the major plot, but I think it had a ton of nice character moments. It also sets up alot for Civil War with the two shields having a much different apporach going forward. It looks like Couslon shield is pushing toward being more receptive too super powered people and become more like The Company from heroes with one of us one of the,. The "Real Shield" wants to be more transparent and they aren't a fan of the alien tech and super people it seems. I really liked the Hulk conversation between Fitz and Simmons and that sort of leads into Agents of shield.

As for the final episodes its been announced that the Season finale will be a two hour thing. My guess two of the episodes will be major Ultron tie in, and the final one will be major Civil War tie ins.

I don't think we will see a Civil War tie in on any major scale, as that movie isn't coming until next year. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will have a full season between Age of Ultron and Civil War.

Speaking of Civil War I am wondering how they are going to do it. I started reading through the Civil War story line thanks to Marvel Unlimited, and there is so much going on I wish they waited for more established characters and made a whole phase out of it rather than 1 movie. Hopefully Avengers 2 (and Ant-Man kinda) deal with the subject matter enough to make the movie feel bigger and more impact-full.

Well by Civil War I mean the actual behind the scenes and mistrust of super powered people. Last season Simmons was excited at the prospect of meeting a super powered person and playing with this technology. Now she was considering to kill any person why had similar DNA to an Inhumans on sight, and even wants to "Cure Sky". Likewise Mac and the real shield has had deep reservations about alien technology and people with powers. I think a big thing was Mockingbird telling Coulson that the Index should be sub divided into people born with abilities like Skye, aliens like Thor, and people enhanced by Science. Right now everyone is on the tipping point and the events of Ultron will be what changes and puts everyone in CW mode.

As for Heroes by the time Civil War happens as far as powered people we will have.

Iron Man
Captain America
Thor
Hulk
Black Widow
Hawkeye
Scarlet Witch
Quicksilver
The Vision
Warmachine
Ant-man
The Falcon
Quake (Skye)
Mockingbird
Deathlok
Lady SIf
Gordan (teleporting inhuman)
Mister Hyde
Anagor the Screamer
Madame Masque
Daredevil
Luke Cage
Jessica Jones
Black Panther
Spider-man
The Abomination
Crossbones
Purple Man
Justin Hammer
The Asorbing Man
Gravaton
Blizzard
Loki (though I suppose him and most aliens won't factor much)

I'm probably forgetting some.

We have all those characters and Civil War is going to be a two hour movie. This is why I think it should take over an entire phase. Rather than 1 movie to show everything, each movie could show the struggle that each hero has to face and how they are dealing with things. Then at the end of the phase, Avengers: Civil War. We have a movie that ties everything together and leaves us with a new world. This is why I am worried about Civil War, not the lack of Super Powered People, but the lack of story involving those People. It is going to be tough for a 2 maybe 2.5 hour movie to explain all this.

(here is a link of all the Civil War comics I am reading http://marvel.com/comics/discover/114/civil-war-the-complete-...

The reason why I wanted more established characters is that not a lot of characters will bring the global feel that I think is needed for such an event. In the comics you see so many perspectives from so many different characters that each have their own world view. Looking at the major players in the MCU you can lump a lot of them into the same mind set. The characters that straddle the line as to whether or not registration is good is what will be interesting, I think a movie just following Captain America and saying Iron Man is bad, won't be as good as say following Hawkeye and Balck Widow as they have to wrestle with following orders of the military with Iron Man or following the orders of a man that represents the country to swore to protect, Captain America. I am excited and nervous with how Civil War will play out in MCU. I hope they aren't jumping the gun. Maybe it is all a ruse and the events in Captain America: Civil War will just introduce the idea of Super Human registration and Phase 4 will be the actual Civil War. Just some ideas lol

Well we don't know how much it will effect phase III. In the comics after Civil War was over the fallout of what happened stuck around 5-6 years irrc. As for doing it for the whole Phase I think the problem that Marvel has is that out of their Phase III films only three of them will take place on earth for any real segment of time. Everything else is else is Cosmic stuff to count down to Infinty War.

To add a bit more build up instead of doing a Agent Carter season 2, instead I'd do another eight episode show focused on another Hero and use it to show the effects of Civil War. The rumor seems to be that we while we won't see the actual conflict happen until next year that Ant-man and the first half of Agents season 3 will address the lead up to civil war.

We will see what happens. If Agent Carter gets a Season 2 I am torn on whether I would want to see more SSR adventures or see the beginning of S.H.I.E.L.D. Basically a follow up to the one shot as AC Season 1 took place before the one shot. I am not sure what I would want as I like the characters in Agent Carter but I want to see more of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s beginning. I wouldn't mind another Marvel show that possibly focused on smaller characters in an Avengers type set up but on a way smaller scale, like what The Defenders sounds like it will be but slightly bigger.

I'm sure the end of Age of Ultron will create some sort of rift between Iron Man and Cap. You'd think they have to set it up somehow as going in without one will seem out of place.

I bet they will set it up but hopefully it will be good. From what I have seen Civil War is less about Iron Man and Captain America fighting than their personal beliefs pitting themselves against each other. My co-worker suggested that because of Ultron, Iron Man may feel like he and other super powered people need to be supervised as they may not have full control over what they do because he created a powerful evil and as Howard Stark said in Agent Carter, "I can't control what I create, but I can control who I sell it to." (another example of this could be Cap failing to rescue the people in the car in that one Age of Ultron trailer) Captain America is obviously against forcing people to register and give up their freedom and after his experience in Cap 2 with how easy Hydra was able to use S.H.I.E.L.D. for evil and build those helicarriers that could kill thousands, Cap would be against an organization having that much power of Super Powered Humans. So things are already building to a rift. It will be interesting to see how they play it, there is another rumor that maybe the Winter Soldier is responsible for Howard Stark's death and that could cause a rift.

To put it shortly I hope the movie is more about the political side of the Super Human Registration Act and less about Steve Rogers and Tony Stark being mad at each other. I will be very excited if they play it with both characters thinking they are right and making the audience question which side they are on, another reason why I wish the title either had Captain America and Iron Man or was just Marvel's Civil War. I am both excited and nervous about this movie. But first we have Age of Ultron and Ant-Man to see lol

I like the idea at the end of the first paragraph If only because it can be used for Agent Carter next year.

I think everyone wants J.K. Simmons back. I am going to keep an open mind about the Spectacular Spider-Man. I hope it does well but I wonder how it will effect the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

My apologies if I derail a convo in progress. OMG AoS was good last night. I was shocked to see Jemma step up and have a cutely badass action moment. I will say I wasn't feeling the Bobbi/May fight. May is supposed to be the TV Black Widow as in the MCU only Natasha has anywhere near the same level of training. They have given May some nice fight scenes but I felt that they had her rely on guns/ICERs too much during the ep.

I was also a little put off by Weaver. I feel like the "real shield" just wants put down every person on the index. I think the time of cataloging and protecting/hiding indexers is over.

Reader is a way cooler character in personality than I expected. Lucy Lawless is still badass!
