I'm pretty excited at the announcement of the Black Panther movie. The others sound fine, but nothing too special.

  • Avengers: Infinity Wars - We all knew this was coming, though I'm torn on the decision to split it into two parts.
  • Captain America: Civil War - Cap isn't really a favotirte of mine, and neither is the Civil War storyline. I'm not quite sure how it's going to work in the Cinematic Universe either.
  • Thor: Ragnarok - The title gives me hope that this will be better than the other two Thor movies, though that wouldn't be hard.
  • Inhumans - Don't really know much about the series, but it seems like it could be a cross between an X-men and Guardians of the Galaxy esque film.
  • Captain Marvel - Marvel's discount Superman. In all seriousness though, at least they picked a woman to make it more interesting.
  • Doctor Strange - Not a huge fan of the character, but I think it could be a neat movie. I'm not quite sure how I feel about Benedict Cumberbatch playing him though, as much as I like Cumberbatch, he doesn't really seem to fit the role.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - We already knew about this, but the release date being moved up was a nice surprise. The sequel to Marvel's best film so far should be great.
  • Black Panther - I think it has a ton of potential, as the actor and the suit look outstanding from what I've seen.

@CapnPancakes As for the Avengers it's the growing trend this century to split long movies in 2 and sometimes 3 parts. Better 2 2 hours plus movies then one long 4 hour plus movie.

Captian American happens to be my favorite of the single movies thus far. They seem more down to earth to me.

Lastly, I think the Thor movies are also quite good but definitely not the best of the single movies for sure. I wouldn't definitely call them by by any means. Obviously you're not a fan though I see.

I admit I am a bit biased, being more of a DC fan, but I still enjoy the Marvel movies. Most of them I enjoyed the first time around, but after watching most of them a second time, I don't think all of them hold up quite as well.

@Spoony_Tech
Out of all the Marvel Phase 1 movies, I would agree that Captain America was the best. Again, i'm not a fan of the character, but I liked the 1940's setting and overall thought it was well made. I liked the first Thor movie the first time I saw it, but after watching it again, I can't say I really enjoyed it. Personally I enjoyed the Dark World a bit more, but it was kind of disappointing, not bad, just underwhelming.

As far as the Avengers Infinity War being split into two parts, I can totally see why they chose to do that, and heck, they're doing it with the Justice League too. I allows them a lot more time to build the setting and flesh things out, but at the same time having to wait a year between the two parts is going to suk.

@CapnPancakes You have been redeemed but not the DC fan part.

Before the first Iron Man came out I could care less about Marvel. Now my wife and I see anything to do with it at least movie and show wise. We love what has been built by the movies over the last 10 or so years!

I'm one of the people who loves to have the best of both worlds with Marvel and DC. I'm more excited for Marvel's lineup though. I didn't like Man of Steel so I don't know what to expect for the next coming movies.

Oddly enough Man Of Steel is the only Super Man movie I liked. Nolan Batman has also never done me wring.

Yeah, I'm really mixed when it comes to the DC films.

  • Superman: the old Christopher Reeves movies are just SOOOO campy. That's not to say they're bad movies (I like the more innocent, bright adventures featured in them, and they can be a fun thing to watch on a Saturday afternoon), but they have some really cheesy moments. Man of Steel was a bit more gloomy than I would have liked, but it's probably my favorite Superman film based simply on the unadulterated awesomeness of the fights. Can't say much on Superman Returns, as it's been awhile since I've seen it.
  • Batman: I'll get flak for it, but I'm not a big fan of even the good 80's & 90's Batman films. Tim Burton's style has never clicked with me (no matter which movie it is), and though he only directed the first two (I think), his influence in art direction can be felt in all the films that are directly linked to his. The Dark Knight trilogy is better, but just way too gloomy for what I like in a superhero movie (but maybe that just comes with the territory of being Batman, lol).

For the most part, Marvel's films have always hit the nail on the head when it comes to what I want to see. They have cool action, with serious moments when they need them, but mixed in with just enough humor to keep it all fun. They gel in a way as to where they never feel too campy or gloomy.

I'll get loads of hate for this, but Green Lantern is actually my favorite DC film. It feels like it tried to go in the direction the Marvel films do (in terms of trying to balance the campy & serious), and while it doesn't do it nearly as well, I give it kudos for trying.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

@RR529 I never seen The Green Lantern and had it on my dvr forever. I'm not a big DC fan at all but when I was younger The Green Lantern was my favorite. Maybe I'm the same as you in regards to DC movies and should at least give it a try.

Ok I'm done now with all the DC hate.......oh sorry I mean love!

So when is DC going to unveil which movies are coming out on particular dates. After the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, which was fantastic by the way, I am really torn between whether I am more excited for Batman v. Superman or Avengers.

@camerica1618 DC has dates, but their titles and characters for particular movies on those dates aren't as specific as Marvel's as of now.

So Shield was really good yesterday, not as action packed as last week's episode but really well written and an Obvious set up for the plot till the end of the mid season. There were a couple of MCU refrences some of them good and bad.

-When Mack and Skye are talking about the Tahti project the use of the Avengers was as bad as the season one refrences, it was okay until mac had to say like Iron Man or Cap.

-On Coulson's desk there was a framed print of a 1940s picture that said better trust Cap. which makes sense given that Phil is a big Steve Rogers fanboy.

-When Talking to the Hydra dudes Ward says Strucker is overseas which is why White hall is in control. Strucker is the principal leader of the post Winter Soldier Hydra and is the guy you see in the post credits scene with Loki's staff and the Twins.

As for Actual plot details .

I bet the city is and Inhuman one, but its also a red herring. We assume its going to be Attlian the Inhuman captial city, but my guess is that it will be Oralllan an inhuman city that debuted is last years Infinty event is like the lost Inhuman city where the people don't really follow Black Bolt and the royal family. Also my guess was that Skye's father was Mad Max, but now i'm guessing he's the MCU version of Lash from the Inhuman book.

Guys, check this out. MINOR SPOILERS FOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

How crazy would it have been if they used this version of the scene?!

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is sublime. Easily my favorite game.
Used to be California Jake. Then I forgot my password and now California Jake is lost to the sands of time. #sad.

I take it that was part of the outtakes lol!

Great episodes the last 2 week's. This is really coming together for the series to the point that after these plot line finish I don't have a clue where the series will go next. It almost seems like it's building up to the end of the season type stuff.

So what is Skye's mom? Or is she the way she is because she was chosen? Also Whitehall is a freak. I really hope he gets his.

The current guess is that she, skye, dad, and raina are Inhumans, The city is Attlian or another one and the Diviner has Terrgin mists inside.

In the comics the Ihumans are brought upon by Kree (the blue corpse and ronan from gotg) experitmenting on humans to create a new species. The inhuman live n secret until made public and someone of inhuman DNA can be transformed by the mists into their powered up form. So they're a sub species of humans like the mutants.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inhumans

rumor is that dad Mr.Hyde and skye is either Daisy Johnson or Mala the Diviner.

Yeah I've been leaning towards the inhuman theory for since the guest house as that corpse is obviously Kree...especially with the movie on the way. I'm just not sure if skye's dad is inhuman or just crazy (with good reason after the last ep). I'm still not sure if I want Skye to be that important. I like her and all but her being special sorta bothers me a bit.
