Topic: Everything DC (Movies, Games, Comics, etc...)

I wish I had a comic store at least remotely close to me, but no...
I subscribe to everything I want to read, or I get backlogged stuff and collection through Amazon.

Anybody know why Captain Marvel isn't called Captain Marvel anymore??
I'm sure it has something to do with not wanting to advertise there rival company.

Oh and I follow Marvel Comics quite a bit too and was thinking that it was weird that Marvel has a fairly new series called Captain Marvel.
What do you guys make of all this?

It's one of the many changes The New 52 brought, he's called Shazam now because: 'everyone calls him that anyway!' Oh, and Captain Marvel (the Marvel character) is not a relatively new character he's been around for awhile...

They didn't break up since they have never been together in the new 52 Universe. So far from what I've read (all of action comics, most of Superman starting of Lobdell). The current status Quo is Clark and Lois flirted for a while after becoming closer friends. In present day they're supposed to be best friends along with Jimmy Olsen.

I think calling him Shazam is kinda lame....they could just call him Captian DC haha, except that would be Superman or Batman
@Sony_70 I would much rather have a printed copy of my comics. I like collecting them.

So anyway, what do you guys think of "Man of Steel"? (Due out mid June)

I am looking forward to Man of Steel. I am not sure if it will be as good as Superman was but I am sure that it will be a good flick.

On that note I have to say this seems to be the year of DC with Man of Steel coming out, Arrow on the CW, A DC Animated block on Cartoon Network with the return of Teen Titans, and than of course Injustice hitting video game consoles. Its nice to see the DC getting some love.

I still haven't got around to watching Arrow yet, but it looks interesting.

I'm still bitter that Superman Returns didn't get the action-packed sequel we were promised...

I saw the pilot episode. It's a good show but it's trying too hard to be dark and edgy...

The thing that I am enjoying about Arrow is just how many of the DC characters they have introduced so far, and IMO they did it in a great way. I am seriously hooked on it. One thing I like is that one of the skins for Green Arrow in Injustice is his look from Arrow and they even went as far as having the guy who plays Oliver/Arrow to provide his voice for that skin. I thought that was really cool.

Wow they really went all out with that then. That is really awesome!

Honestly, I hope Martian Manhunter gets to be a DLC character, he's been under-utilized since Justice League Unlimited finished...

The show is really popular and has been killing in the ratings.

I'd suggest If your a fan of the show start reading the current Green Arrow comic with #17.

Its more in Line with the Street Level arrow stuff. The issues before that Range from bad (1-6) to Avergae and getting better (7-16) Its not until Lemire jumps on that the book gets crazy good.

Nice to see Arrow getting more fame. been watching the CW show as well.

I agree. Its nice to see any DC character getting more fame other than Batman and Superman. I mean yeah I like Batman and Superman as much as the next guy but its nice to see the other heroes getting the attention.

I thought it would be great to appeal to a broader audience

Speaking of fame anyone see the Wonder Woman animated movie?
