That time of year again. Picked up some Boo Berry and Count Chocoula from my local grocery store. It's not Halloween untill I get my Monster Cereals. Lol

There was some cereal in I think the late 90’s that looked like little cinnamon buns. Anybody know the name? I only had like two boxes so I can’t recall much more than that.

Oh yeah - I picked up a 3-pack of cereals at BJ’s just a couple weeks ago - Count C, Booberry, and Frankenberry. No way will I finish them before Halloween though.

Also, a warning to my fellow cereal aficionados- do NOT buy Crumble Cookie cereal! It is God awful. Sweet beyond belief, but not in a pleasing way. My daughters and I nearly retched. Serves me right for straying from the tried and true! 😑

@Teksetter Not surprising. It's from Crumbl after all. It's the same company that makes those overpriced, mediocre cookies.

My daughters had to inform me what Crumbl was - I’ve never seen any of those shops around in my area, and I don’t watch enough TV these days to know any better.

I just figured they were like Kellogg’s version of Cookie Crisp.

Why do I keep remembering Fruity Cheerios & Smorez cereal? I had both of those back in the early-to-mid 2000's.

And then back in 1997 or 1998...(I guess???)...there was Rice Krispies Razzle Dazzle. And don't even get me started on Rice Krispies Treats cereal.

@Ryu_Niiyama I think it was "Mini Swirlz" as far as I can remember. Never had it myself though. I know there was a Cinnabon cereal.

Haven’t had cereal in a while, but I’m surprised to find out that Crumbl Cookie has their own store cereal. Interesting, but the cereal honestly sounds unappealing and I read it doesn’t even really have any chocolate despite having chocolate chip cookies advertised on there. Doesn’t even look like it’s from Crumbl at all. Cookie Crisp is such a classic, that’s where it’s at!

Still relating to the people manufacturing that Crumbl cereal, I have had the actual cookies Crumbl sells, and I do think they are decent to okay but I haven’t had a full cookie and only have half a cookie every time. They probably would taste really bad and sugary if you eat a whole cookie. There was this maple cinnamon cake thing they had that tasted absolutely disgusting and way too loaded with sugar. Way too overhyped in my opinion.

@Teksetter @MsJubilee @Pastellioli The only "cookie" I like from Crumbl Cookies is their Rice Krispy treat one then again I love Rice Krispy Treats.

Although I remember a Rice Krispy Treat cereal when I was a kid and remember being disappointed by it lol they were more like frosted Rice Krispys more then anything else.

@Tasuki If I remember, the cookies I had at Crumbl was half of a peanut butter cookie and a cheesecake cookie, but I think that’s really it. Their cookies are ok, but Crumbl’s cookies are very notorious for being super unhealthy. I’m pretty sure a single cookie from them is at around 700 calories.

And regarding the Rice Krispy cereal, it was the one where they are tiny bits and pop when you pour milk in them, right? I have had those before and thought they were fine.

@Pastellioli Yeah that's Rice Krispys. Those are fine and I also like the Chocolate ones too but as I said the Treat cereal was just a disappointment.

@Teksetter @Pastellioli The cookies are pure sugar. You might as well eat a bag of sugar raw. Even with milk, it's horrible. I don't know how that company is still going. Crumbl is the worst.

@MsJubilee They are a fad company. They are only popular cause of places like Tik Tok and *****. I never heard of them until one opened in my town and then of course I tried them.

@Tasuki can understand that, they don’t really taste marshmallow-y like the original Rice Krispy Treats and are a bit more like cereal flakes. They tasted a bit plain when I ate them.

@MsJubilee I’m honestly glad I don’t have an obsession with getting Crumbl cookies. I do have a sweet tooth, but a lot of sugar is so gross and sickening the more I eat it. The cookies kind of go overboard with the toppings and frosting on a few of them to make them taste sweet, the cheesecake cookie I had from them once was kind of good, but it didn’t need so much frosting. The maple cinnamon cake square was the worst item I’ve had from them from how much frosting they put on it. Honestly, cookies that are more plain, like oatmeal or chocolate chip cookies, have less going on with their ingredients, but the sugar in those is way more balanced and I’d take either of those over a Crumbl cookie. I can’t imagine how terrible their chocolate chip cereal tastes.

I've been cutting out sugars so I'm sad to report my sugary cereals haven't been making an appearance in my diet. Need to find more flavorful, less sugary cereals on the market.

@Malaise good call, I'll have to check it out then. Never had it from what I remember. I simply cut out sugar since my dentist, who I really don't fully believe, indicated I have a bunch of cavities. I've only had one up until recently, so I cut out sugar in April. Helped me lose about 25-30lbs which was nice.

@NintendoByNature I personally enjoy the Blueberry Special K cereal. It's not as sugary as other cereals. Also one of my personal favorite Kix is a good one too.

@Malaise I have to have a bowl of cereal somewhere during the day. It doesn't matter if it's morning or night. Usually it's a night though as a late night snack lol.

@NintendoByNature Kix Cereal might be your best bet. It's sweet but light sweet, Not as surgary as Captn' Crunch. The only sugary cereal I do eat is Malt-o-Meal's Fruity Dynobites.

But nowadays I tend to eat cereal that isn't too sweet or at all. Mostly OG Special K, Cheerios, Rice Krispies, Chex, etc. That sorta jazz. I used to go high-on-the-hog on the sweet ones but over time my taste has kinda sensitive to sugar. I tend to stick with fruit whenever I can as back-up though.
