This thread is about discussing Archie comics or Sonic comics.
Look, We know that Sonic has a rough time in the main gaming world, but Comic wise, I'm actually gonna praise SEGA and Archie here as the story is really amazing.
I also read Archie comics. Fun fact, Jughead's hat has a Morse code.
Loved these comics as a kid and had an eye on them again in the last couple of years as my nephew loves them now. Delighted to see Pat Spaz still does art for them, he - along with Richard Elson from the equally brilliant UK Sonic the Comic - got me into drawing and changed my life just as much as a few years earlier when I saw Sonic 1 at a friend's house.
"Oh smeg. What the smegging smegs he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."
I love the Sonic comics! Sonic Universe is my favorite. The Hedgehog is good, too, but I'm still getting used to the new world after the genesis waves. I hope another Sonic and Mega Man crossover happens soon, both of them were really good!
I read a few Sonic Comics and I gotta say, the stories in them are really immersive! I definitely recommend that you read the Sonic Comics. Its mature, its comedy and most importantly, its Sonic not screwed up!
I just got the issues 277 and 278 and I keep reading this Sth....just what is that exactly? I also read two other issues here and there but its just requires me to explore the other comics.
And also, I want to get the volume series for Sonic the hedgehog comics like how they have for Sonic Universe. How can I get it like that? I'm using an app to get the comics right now.
@Socar: I'm confused by your first question... are you asking about the plot? Or just what "sth" stands for? If that's the question, then it stands for "Sonic the Hedgehog". A lot of the time you'll see dialogue with an * at the end of the sentence. If you find the other * on the page in the box, that says STH #___, it's just telling you that the character is referring to an event that happened in a previous comic. If that's not the question, could you restate it?
As for your other question, the volume series are called "Graphic Novels", and can be purchased in the Sonic Comic App. Archie keeps releasing new graphic novels, so you'll have to check and see which volume you need if there is a certain comic you're after. For the more recent comics, like 277 and 278, there isn't any graphic novel out for them yet, as far as I know. Hope this helps!
@pikminfan22: I think you'll like them a lot! Just to let you know, there are two Sonic Comics: Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Universe. Sonic the Hedgehog focuses on the main story, while Universe does side-stories with minor characters like Silver, Shadow, Blaze, etc. They're both good, but I prefer Universe, probably because Silver and Shadow are my favorite Sonic characters.
@Socar: I use IOS, so I'm not sure if Android has the app or not. On Comixology, I would try searching "Sonic the hedgehog" and see if anything comes up then. The Graphic Novels are also called "Archives" if that helps.
As for the Sonic Boom comics, ...they only made 11. In my opinion, after reading them all, they weren't as good as Sonic the Hedgehog or Universe, so I wasn't too surprised that they cancelled it. So, if you're interested in Boom, or just having a complete comic collection, I say they're worth reading, but I think catching up on Sonic Universe and Sonic the Hedgehog is the better choice.
@pikminfan22: Haha! The only reason why I have to comic app is for the free comics, too! lol XD Other than the free ones, I get physical copies. And yeah, I guess it is kinda obvious that Silver and Shadow are my favorites...

Thanks! I will get to it as soon as possible.
....I used to own a lot of Archie Comics but I gave it to my cousin. Can't say that i'm into it as much as Sonic.
@Waluigi: Well that's probably because Archie comics are the ones who are making the Sonic Comics....So technically, We do talk a lot of Archie.
Speaking of which, have you heard that they made a comic where Archie is like literally dead? I think its called the death of Archie. How did that turn out?
