I watched the entire 2nd and 3rd seasons of FMA: Brotherhood yesterday, all in a row. That was fun D:
That does sound like a good time. I'm still waiting for Netflix to put up parts 4 & 5 on instant so I can just sit down and blow through the entire series again in a weekend.
Has anyone else seen Monster? I'm only 15 episodes in so far, but it's been incredibly compelling.
That's on Hulu, right? I've been meaning to see it for a while. That and Dururura. I hear Baccano's pretty bloody, though. We'll have to see if I can get through it without gagging.
As for Monster, I've read some of the Manga and enjoyed it so very much. If it wasn't so long, I'd be willing to finish it.
Yeah, Baccano doesn't really skimp on the violence, although that's not really what draws me to it. I love the large and diverse cast, the complex and out-of-order plot structure (although it can be a little hard to follow at the beginning when you don't know who everybody is or what's happening when), the pace at which everything happens and the unique, 1930s America setting.

Monster is great...until the last episode. Really killed it for me.

hey gundammac, if time is an issue...um...is 37 episodes total for both series too much? Because if so I guess you'll choose between the 13 episode Baccano! and the better but longer (24 episodes) Durarara! Not including OVAs because Baccano's while good was like a really rushed sequel and Durarara!'s OVAs sucked.
They are so blatantly similar in style btw. I'm certain they're made by the same person in light novel form, which is why.
As for Monster, I've read some of the Manga and enjoyed it so very much. If it wasn't so long, I'd be willing to finish it.
Long? Compared to what? FLCL?
Dude, it's over 70 episodes long and the Manga is 18 Volumes. I do not have that kind of attention span.
well you're a Gundam fan, which has gone on for how many series?
And yeah, it isn't like that's really short but compared to some anime and especially manga, it's really not that bad.
Each series is self contained, so I can have a cooldown between each series. Also, each series is never more than 52 episodes long, which is literally my limit on how many episodes I can watch - a limit which I've only been able to push 4 times in my entire life, most of which were when I was young, when I had more patience.
And just because some shows are longer doesn't detract from the fact that it's long by itself.
