Which pretty much confirms that it's Shoujo.

Exactly. But some Shoujo try to add hot guys but fail.
This one succeeded in adding interesting ones. Which is actually somewhat rare.

Well, seeing as I'm now completely caught up with both One Piece and Hunter X Hunter, I can safely say they are both my favorite battle shounen ever. For a while OP was at the top, then HxH took the spot after the Chimera Ant Arc, but now I really feel like I just can't decide.

One thing I don't really get is that the Fishman Island Arc got a lot of hate from fans, and people calling it boring. I thought it was a interesting set-up to the New World, not to mention the introduction of BIG MOM .(terrifying) Punk Hazard really nicely flowed into Dressrosa. As much as I adore the adventure formula One Piece uses a lot, it's interesting how these past two arcs have been part of a formal plan (orchestrated by Law) that are each taking us one step closer to taking down Kaido. That said, of course it still is an adventure with a big bad at the end, and things have gone pretty crazily far off course, but as always with One Piece, the ride is fun, the characters great, the story intriguing and layered, and some deeper themes behind the surface layer excitement. As Law/Doffy/Corazon's flashback comes to a climax, as does hopefully the Doffy fight and the Arc in general, I can't wait to see what Oda has cooked up. Doflamingo might be one of my favorite villains of the series so far, it helps that he is not a flat, pure evil villain. Sure, he is terribly cruel, but he's also quite complex. His relationship with the Donquixote "Family" is really something, and kind of reminds me of the Phantom Troop a bit. As much of a monster as he is, he is not without his sympathies, and I can't help but feel for the truly terrible corner Law and Luffy have forced him into. Anyways, I'm off to read Chapter 765!

Read the newest chapter of Bleach earlier!

Oetsu VS Stern Ritter "D"!

SR"D" has the ability to alter the amount of a particular substance his opponent's body can handle before dying of a "Lethal Dose", so he made Oetsu's body intolerant to his own blood! Oetsu then cut himself open in order to drain the blood out, but in order to lower the amount of blood in his body to a safe level, it'd have to be so low de'd die of the opposite problem, blood loss...

Suddenly another member of the Zero Division steps in (the guy who invented the healing hot spring water Yoruichi had in the underground training area in the Soul Society arc) and replenished Oetsu's blood with red hot spring water that can replace it. Stern Ritter "D", shocked by Oetsu's sudden recovery, was easily cut down.

With his vanguard defeated, Ywach now faces the Zero Division himself.

This is bleach right now.

Well, it's still better than the Fullbring arc

I will say this arc has somewhat gone downhill since it started, but the fact that Kubo is willing to have the bad guys kill some pretty big names (it is the final arc after all, so these guys NEED to feel like they're the ultimate threat) makes every fight a bit more tense than usual.

The more I get into anime the more I feel that Dragon Ball Z is overated....

I think I've come full circle from that actually! Maybe it's just me growing up with it, but other action anime come and go and Dragon Ball Z remains wonderful

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

It doesn't really matter how "good" Dragonball Z is, I could never into it due to the atrocious pacing. I'm told that Kai improves this a little, but shounen battle anime isn't really my cup of tea anymore, so I guess that ship has sailed.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Dragon Ball Z is an enjoyable romp if you take it for what it is, but it's still a heavily flawed show that severely fell off track and lost a lot of the naunce and charm its predecessor had...

True, but it's still getting utterly rediculous. Some of these powers sound like stuff 10-year-olds would come up with playing "anime" with their friends..."overpowered" and "half-baked" don't even begin to describe some of these abilities...

That... I can agree with. Some of them are more normal (like Stern Ritter "T" and her lightning or Stern Ritter "P" who simply had massive physical strength), but a lot of them are just plain weird or silly. Also, what ever happened to the idea that Quincies exclusively used bows? So far only Stern Ritter "T" has used one (Stern Ritter "D" pulled one out, but never used it). Heck, at least 3 of them have used guns... GUNS!?

Also, I don't like how they altered the tone of the arc so much. The Vandenreich started out as a cold, merciless, calculating militaristic entity (eerily Nazi-like in their appearance & actions early on) that meant serious business, but most of the Stern Ritter have been goofy weirdos (albiet powerful ones) who clash with the organization's original vibe (which was something new for the series). The only ones who retain that original vibe are the early revealed members who are still around like Ywach & his second command, Halchwalth. Hopefully, since they should be the only two left (well, and Uryu, but we all know he isn't really committed to the cause), things should be getting more serious.

Meanwhile One Piece's Dressrosa Arc is easily working its way (well actually, it kind of already has) to being the best New World Arc yet. @ Caniswolfred Oh yeah, you wait till an arc is done to marathon it, right? Well that should be enjoyable when it comes, this arc is fantastic. I hope I didn't spoil much in my last post, I'll try to keep things a bit more vague.

Doffy back when he was 25. This flashback is soo good. (But kind of oddly placed, like the Noland one way back in Skypiea that happened during the Enel/Luffy fight, this is going on during the Doflamingo/Law/Luffy fight)

Well, considering both this flashback and the Noland one are extremey interesting (while both fights are kinda ehh) I don't have a problem with them.

Time for a manga update.

As suggested, I dropped Tenjo Tenge awhile back, and have since resumed where I left off in Kyokai no Rinne.

It's been a while since I put it on hiatus, after which I read both InuYasha & a good chunk of Ranma 1/2. After coming off of those two, I can definitely say it shares more in common with Ranma than it does InuYasha.

While InuYasha essentially repackaged the R1/2 cast in a more serious action story, Rinne repackages them back into an action filled comedy (without any of the fanservice the first two series had).

So, if you liked R1/2, but not IY, you might like Rinne (it's essentially Ranma, with a "Spirit Detective" theme). The only thing more reminiscent of IY than R1/2 are the character designs, given that her art style changed during her last story.

That said, it offers absolutely nothing new that wasn't already in R1/2 (or to a lesser extent IY), so it's very much more of the same.

Well, I figured the problem why I'm having trouble catching up with Animes. It's because I started a Anime so many times when I'm trying to finish the current Anime I'm watching. :l I have like 7 Animes to catch up with and some of them had 100+ episodes to watch.

(Ugh.... Did my grammar went so terrible?)

My bad habits in a nutshell.
After finishing so many things, I finally got back to watching Nichijou. I swear, at this rate, this anime would be the perfect medicine on a rainy day!

Toonami Saturday night!

Attack on Titan - Missed it.

Bleach - Missed most of it. Ichigo & Ginjo are about to settle things once & for all.

Naruto Shippuden - And things got awesome! The fight between the fox spirit controlled Naruto & Orichimaru was pretty awesome. Yeah, the awesomeness was somewhat dampened by some powers presented in a silly manner (like the elaborate gates Orichimaru summoned out of nowhere. He could have just summoned up three walls of solid rock to the same effect, and it wouldn't have interfered with the severe tone of the situation), but it was an overall great fight.

One Piece - More of Robin's past tonight. As if it weren't already apparent, the World Government of this show is pretty messed up.

Gurren Lagann - Okay, this was awesome. Mia: "Oh, you must be a p****ing off person", lol. This whole show was funny.

Hellsing Ultimate - Ok, so we now have a Vatican army with a questionable taste in war attire (they might want to rethink their headgear...). Then vampires VS the Hellsing organisation.

Also, they ran a promo for the finale of Bleach next week, and aired another one of those stupid music videos during Naruto Shippuden.

Dropped Log Horizon and Sword Art Online this week (honestly don't know why I didn't drop SAO like 20 episodes ago). Log Horizon's second season is a very noticeable step down from the first and I'm just not feeling it.

Picked up Gugure Kokkari-san and it's... very cute...

Caught up on Barakamon and it was fantastic! Would recommend to anyone looking for a feel-good slice-of-life with terrific characters.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
