This is a place for all animal crossing fans to come together, swap fcs, ask questions, etc.
I have a major question~ how do you all play animal crossing? As in, do you hoard money, spend bells, push neighbors into pitfalls >:], etc.

Is there a choice that says all of the above?

Oh my goodness, I haven't played Animal Crossing in ages; my GCN and DS towns are probably buried underneath forests of weeds and herds of cockroaches. But on the other hand, maybe the grass has finally grown back in my City Folk town, which would be nice.

Anyway, I tend to make paying back Nook for my home expansions my first priority (that raccoon has some unsavory connections) and then save up my money for things I really want, although once I've built up a nice surplus, I will just buy stuff for the sake of filling up my catalog.

Let me rephrase my question. As in, what order are your objectives? I usually upgrade my house, deck it out with awesome furniture first. Then I will work on getting the best neighbors (my favorites) (I love Roald B-B-Buddy ) Then I work on getting rare fruit, then the museum. Finally, I get the golden tools, but I never complete my collection (I'm too lazy at this point).

I focus on the mortgage, awesome neighbors (Moe is my BFF, had him in my town for 2 years, ever since I started!) and contests.
I'm WAY too lazy to get golden tools.
Also try to make friends with the Able Sisters and get KK Slider songs. I also try to get new coffee blends from Brewster.
I also tend to beg for my sister to send me bells from her account. (I have Wild World)
I don't feel like doing much right now, though. Rolf just moved away.

I thought this was about the excellent website Animal Crossing Community!

I got back into AC on Wii earlier this year but haven't played it in ages — not since I got Netflix, in fact. I like to potter about and fish most of the time, paying off my mortgage bit by bit. Then I like to collect all the modern furniture even though I've had it all before.

I just got rare fruit in a letter! Finally (it only took 2 years). Finally, these cherries are mine!
And my fav. characters consist of Roald, Nan, Octavian, and Peanut.
@James I've never heard of this website before; i'll check it out now.

So, can I post ideas for the new Animal Crossing here?
Or is this strictly stratagies?

Who's your least favorite neighbor that you have met?
I'm talking Wild World here. Mine is Hugh. Don't know why, just despised him.

In the original Animal Crossing for the Gamecube, I used one of the spare houses to create an "Arcade Room". It has nothing but tables along the perimeter of the wall - each with a different NES game sitting on top of it. Every NES game that's available within Animal Crossing is in there. If only I wasn't at work so I could take a picture and share!

I cant stand Freckles, Tangy, and Scoot. They are weirdos. I LOVE Octavian and Chevre!

Talking about the NES games you can collect is making me want to play the GC version again. Its been so long.

I didn't start playing Animal Crossing until the Wii version but it's now one of my favorite series and I can't wait to get the 3DS version, which looks really cool. I got the Wii version in the summer of 2009 and have played it almost every day since. The thing I really like about it is that it's such a relaxing game where you can go at your own pace and do what you want to do in whatever order you want to do it. Most of the good games that get released aren't like that so it's nice to have that change of pace. Probably my favorite things to do in the game are fishing and bug hunting. I love bug hunting in July and August when so many bugs are out.

At this point, I've collected almost everything in the game. I'm stilling missing the apple, the Jolly Painting (which is taking forever for me to get), some of the items from Redd, some items from Gulliver (I think I've only seen him five times), two of the hybrid flowers, the items from Katie and Kaitlin, a few shirts, a few floors and walls from Saharah, two of the gyroids and some of the other special items. I'm pretty sure I have all the items that Nook sells.

My least favorite neighbor has been Becky. She was one of the original neighbors and it took FOREVER for her to leave. I think about two years. I don't know what it was about her but she really annoyed me. Probably my favorite neighbors were Tabby and Lucy. I love how many animals are in this game. When I go to the city, I STILL see animals I've never seen before.

Speaking of Gulliver, in ACCC (or AC let's go to the city) how fast do you have to be to shoot him down? I have only seen him twice, and I ran after him both times with my slingshot, but never saw him. >:[
