Topic: An advice...

Hi again. You probably know me pretty well at this point. I've been quite vocal (and I won't deny it, also annoying) about plenty of silly things in the last months, specifically Nintendo, how their games are not getting the credit and respect they deserve, how Sony (or better, its fanboys) are crushing them, how did this happen and all that stuff. Well, today I'm here asking for an honest advice from you. In the last months, I realized how things have changed when it comes to videogames. Nowadays people do prefer games focused on cinematics and storytelling, over ones with good gameplay and level design, and maybe this is why Nintendo is not appealing to people anymore, but as much hard I try, I just can't get into those kind of games at all, which is why I'm still attached to Nintendo, even thought I don't have a Switch (I mainly moved to Steam since a few years, to recover those third party games I missed in the years, but this is another story). The thing is... lately I'm having an hard time in even touching those games because, I know it's silly but... by playing them I feel like... guilty, scared and lonely. I mean by being still attached to the kinds of games people don't like anymore and not being able to like what they like now, and I also feel alone in liking those games, and feeling alone is one of the feelings I hate the most... To cut this short: I'm scared of touching videogames just because I always think how things have changed and how I'm alone in liking games that are not liked anymore.

Now, I don't know if this is happening because I'm traumatized on how many times I got attacked just for expressing appreciation over Nintendo games or how my friends ditched me after they moved to PS4, but this is my current situation. I really don't know what to do guys, I don't want to change who I am to adequate to the mass, but I don't like to feel alone and guilty in liking something that others don't like... what should I do? Any good advice will be appreciated...

@BlackKnight93 Liking game that isn't popular makes you normal We all like something that isn't popular. People will always like things for different reasons. And games are always going to change, because of tech advances, and cultural tastes constantly evolve.

Play what you want. Don’t let people tell you what you can and can’t play.

I hope you have the advice you need. I’m supporting you here, but people here are getting annoyed at you, so I’d suggest you take our advice. Just ignore the haters, ignore the bad friends, play what you want, don’t let anybody choose your life for you.

Get a therapist, stop using people on the internet for whatever this is.
