It's OK to have an opinion. This ain't the Soviet Union you know. Letterboxd Youtube Channel
I think that this is perhaps one of the most cinematic, epic and profound music videos of this era. It certainly gets you up and out of your seat. It has the same vibe as those music videos from the 80's!

What is the easiest way for me to postall of Gaga's videos?
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
The following song changed my life. It changed my musical tastes, it actually GOT me into music (before, I'd casually listen to video game tunes without any concern for audio quality or trying to find new music), it inspired me to create music of my own, and it spawned an awesome YouTube fad that has created wonderful memories for me.
The background music at first appears to be simple, relying on the slightly odd but cool sounding "high then low then high then low" synth and a very simple melody. But as the song goes on, completely different parts come in with smooth transition. These parts (0:38, 0:51, and 1:46) are some of the most well-composed things I've ever listened to, hands down. And the vocal mixing is superb. The chorus is addictive and the "epicness" part (0:38) is insane (and also addictive). I find myself tapping out the pattern with my fingertips everyday. Some may pass this song off as annoying or repetitive, but I've realized the skill that went into making this truly addictive song.
Anyways, after watching a LOT of VH1 top 100s, I hav learned of GOOD music, like currently, I am listening to Sister Christian by Night Ranger on my 80s cover bands set (which was heavily influenced by top 100 greatest 80s songs, hard rock songs, and greatest 80s 1-hit wonders). Safe to say, I LOVE music (and the 80s).
@Squiggletail - Check out these live performances if you like Battles. Ironically, I was listening to the first one when I saw your post, and I was at the festival where they performed the second (though I was at the other stage where tUnE-yArDs was being incredible). http://pitchfork.com/tv/city-of-music/1882-battles/3057-afric...
Hmm... I think some of you might be interested in this thread. You can hear some covers and original songs from the users of NL... and maybe give us some feedback too
