I don't even remember writing that last post (I deleted it). Let this be a lesson kids, too much alcohol + internet forums = rants. After watching the replays, I was still disgusted by the disgarceful way Ivory Coast played at the end of the 2nd half. They were kicking shins and ankles instead of the ball. Elano's injury was completely uncalled for, that was deserving of a red card. And this makes me mad....

Seriously Kaka is just standing there, doesn't even see the guy, the player from the Ivory Coast does a beeline for Kaka, dramatically bounces off of him and falls to the floor covering his face, which was not even hit, and stays rolling on the ground like a little baby. Kaka didn't even know what happened! As for the hand-ball goal, that was a fail for the refs part, he saw it was a hand-ball and just let it pass. But then if you watch the replay, I think the ref has some feelings for Luis Fabiano...

But that ref REALLY sucked, he counted the hand-ball goal and he gave Kaka a red card for nothing when he should have given a few red cards to the Ivory Coast. But whatever, the Ivory Coast got what they deserved, they never had a chance. Brazil moves to the next round and portugal will have to lose, basically, to Brazils reserve team.

We won 7-0 against Korea Dpr without any brazilians and when a player is neutralized to a country, that only happens when the player played several years in that country which means he learned everything from that country. Fifa rankings: Brazil (1) and Portugal (3).
Brazil usually starts slow in the World Cup, but find themselves in the Final. I am rooting for Portugal in Group G, but arguing which is better is tough because they're both very talented. Portugal took care of business against N. Korea but struggled with Ivory Coast; similarly Brazil struggled with N. Korea but took care of business against Ivory Coast. Both look good to reach the semi-finals. Although Spain and Netherlands will be tough on their way there.

FIFA doesn't want the teams to know the result of the other games in their group because then the games can be fixed for both teams to advance. It actually happened once where the third game was fixed between both teams and ever since the third game of round 1 was played simultaneously.

If Uruguay and Mexico tie they both advance, but I think they'll both want to win to avoid playing Argentina in the round-of-16.
