I'm staring to believe that South Africa might be able to pull this off. Just need to score another one and hope that Uruguay can do the same. Oh my god it's exciting.

Looks like Uruguay will be 1st out of group A and Mexico will be 2nd. Things look good for Uruguay as they will play against Nigeria/S.Korea/ or Greece which are all win-able matches and potentially put Uruguay in the quarter-finals!

Sorry I'm new to this but is Mexico out completely are is there a chance of redeement?

The first round of the World Cup contains Groups A through H. Two teams from each group advance to the second round. For example:
Group A contains teams: Uruguay, Mexico, South Africa, and France. They all play each other once and the best two advance.
> Uruguay and Mexico advanced.
Now Mexico moves into the second round where they play one game, if they win they go to the quarterfinals, if they lose they are out.
They will play this match on June 27th.

I think that the Footballing Gods were annoyed by the vuvuzelas and punished South Africa for it.

I think South Africa is by far the worst ranked team to ever host the World Cup, so I think FIFA was just testing the trend. They also had a tough draw against Mexico and Uruguay who are both ranked in the top 20 and the French who are supposedly really good. The only thing South Africa had going for them was the home-field advantage.

Yup, Mexico is screwed. They have to play Argentina.

Looks like it'll be a tight game. I don't know who to go for, but I think Argentina will win.

Usually I'd place all my coconuts on Argentina but I see Mexico pulling off the upset.
