As someone whose quite into art I was over the moon when Art Academy and Flipnote studio came out (now my DSi is like a lil laptop for me to express my creativity) so I was just wondering if anyone else whose quite into art uses Art Academy in the same way (for "serious" art, by serious don't mean you have to be an art expert just that you use it for art and not just random doodling.)
I was amazed how intuitive and deep both programs were and would like to see some of your works (I will post mine soon!)
Cool, thanx for the post you've go some good stuff going on. Hoping to get a gud lil Dsi art community thread going so spread the good word! Do you flipnote?

QUICK IMAGE POSTING TIP #1: If you have an image stored on a website (e.g. deviantart), right click the image and choose "Copy image URL" then when you post it on Nintendolife it should load up on the page without taking you to another website

I have no SD card reader but luckily you can save your images on the DSi Album so I can directly upload them to my Facebook site that I don't really use for anything else anyways So in a few days when I practised a little I'll probably upload some pictures here, too (although I can't draw as abgar or Dru192 ).
Cool looking forward to see your work, and don't worry were all art appreciators here doesn't matter how good you r

My first try on portaying a picture I took: (Only had the first two lessons so far which were very useful but I don't know the tricks of the other lessons yet. So maybe I'll do the same picture again when I finished all lessons and then I'll compare the two It doesn't look that good but I had a lot of fun drawing it and that's what matters
EDIT: Uploaded them from Facebook to Imageshack so I can downsize them
Gud start, its cool to c sum of your work, gud stuff. I agree I was surprised how useful the lessons were, I recommend doing them all they helped me a lot. Keep the work coming

This is so fun! I've had a play for the last hour or so, and have already uploaded a few pictures to Facebook. (great feature that!) I impressed even myself with how good my pear came out.
Now that it's on the computer I can see there are some pencil strokes that I should have erased, but oh well. Not bad considering I've never drawn anything half this good before in my life I haven't tried the free play yet ... that's next.

Your pear rocks, well done you! Its a great feeling when you surprise yourself with ur first pic. Art Academy is a great teaching tool especially for those with no formal art training like myself. Its taught me so much in such a short space of time. Really good to see work from you as well. Keep em' coming!
