So, this looks intriguing! Like many DSiWare games, the amount and quality of information available at launch is woefully inadequate. Hopefully, we can fill out what we know with impressions and such as they come in.

Description from official website with absolutely amazing English:

"Blood, silence, and fear soak this lost town...... can you make it through the night?

In 2037 a remote little town in the South American Andes was cut off from the outside world by a mud slide after heavy rains that had lasted a whole week. There was a massive explosion at the military bio-chemical facility on the outskirts of the town during a power outage caused by the bad weather.

A beautiful girl with red hair and deep eyes emerged from the darkness, her name is Chilia who had well at combat skill. You control her to searching survivors of town in the day time, also set the trap, and collect items, using different weapons to defeat those unknown creatures. When you had enough battle experiences you will gain more skills.

Danger will be coming with night falling, people hiding in the camp, many creatures being rage and hungry, you need to recruit some helpers to protect this place for 7 days until the rescue team arriving there because they found out the camp, you knew you are the only hope, also the last hope."

Its copy makes it out to be a combination of survival, resource management, shooting/levelling, and who knows what else. Also set the trap. In some ways, Pathologic on PC comes to mind. Conceptually, I think this could be really unique, but I'd like to know a bit more about how it's executed before putting down the cash. Anyone more brave than myself take the plunge yet?

I've spent about an hour with it, and so far it seems pretty interesting. It's controled exclusively using the touch screen, with movement feeling similar to the DS Zelda games, and attacking initiated by a single tap on your target. You roam around the town killing zombies, rescuing villagers and looting crates to bulk up your gold and experience for the impending onslaught on your camp when night falls. You can use gold to purchase equipment, repair/upgrade your camp and recruit NPC's that back you up on the field. I'm only up to "Day 2" so far, so odds are there's more to it that I have yet to exerience.
The main thing that I don't really care for is that there's no in-game explanation as to what is expected of you. After a brief introductory cut scene, you're chucked in the deep end to figure it out for yourself. Also, the pathfinding is nonexistent, with enemies and NPC's unable to navigate the environment beyond "charge/retreat from enemy". Luckily, NPC's will reappear quickly if you leave them behind hung up on a building.

Everything stays smooth during the first couple of days. Can't really comment beyond that yet, but the concept is really starting to grow on me.

The concept is what intrigues me <3. How is the difficulty, aside from it not telling you what to do?

I'll try to offer an impression on length and replay before Sunday.

It's pretty tough. I'm dying frequently, and when that happens it starts you back at the beginning of the day. If someone were to play a bit more carefully than I do though, they'd probably have more success. I say this because I often wander far from camp and bite off more than I can chew in the battles, which is about the worst thing you can do in this game. After you've taken lethal damage, your resistance bar appears and ticks down the time you have to get back to camp before you become zombiefied and effectively die. Also, your NPC's level up as they fight along with you, and when they die they're gone for good which I imagine would be quite a loss when they reach the upper levels.

do you keep your levels when you die or do you go back to level 1 ...so your getting more and more NPC as the game advances then since they are dead for good.... with knowing the lag is gone tempted to leave work early tomorrow and try to download it before the weekend

if i can pay 5 bucks to get tires loose i can pay 5 for this (stupid lugnuts were so tight i couldnt even break them loose with a pipe)

You return to the level you were at the start of that day. As far as NPC's, I would assume there is a constant supply. it looks like you only have 4 active slots though: 2 that follow the player around and 2 that strictly defend the camp.

Did you read the ign review? They gave it an 8/10.
I've been side-tracked by other things lately, and have yet to pass "day 3" myself. I do plan on getting back to it shortly though.
