I read the IGN review, 8.7. *8.7!!?!?!!?!?!? THIS IS MADNESS!!!!!!!! 8.7?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!?!??!?! DR. OCTANANAGAPUS BLARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A buddy of mine just went to Bestbuy and told them about the Toys R Us deal ($15 gift card), and they price matched him and he got the game for $16.18 with tax.
If you're looking to try to get the game cheaper, you may want to give this a shot!

Sorry but it was a very accurate review. I mean I'm in love with the game but the control quirks are too annoying to dismiss. There was no reason for it either--D-Pad controls would've made the game a perfect 10. But the touch screen controls simply don't work the way they should. Plus the level editor is a total letdown.
Great game, but it has its flaws.

Yes, the game's controls do get QUITE annoying. And for some jerk reason, it had the nerve to tell me that I misspell my own name (Zack)! Zach gives two options, with last names (not sure who either is, though). Most names don't even do that, so I have no idea why Zach does.
Interesting words: "Stuff" creates an invisibility cloak which can be reproduced by typing the full name, but why would you when "stuff" is so much easier? "Thing" made some sort of tool or something...I'm not really sure. "Junk" made a boat, which pretty much makes sense. "Ass" made a donkey, which I found to be a very amusing (and technically accurate) touch.
I've found more than one level you don't have to create ANYTHING in to beat so far. Seems to undo the entire point, doesn't it? Thus far, I've finished the "advanced" mode in the garden puzzle levels.

@SSBbrawler08: Hey, thanks! I couldn't figure out Garden action level 7, and Infinity destroyed the tornado for me!
Overall, I don't really like this game too much (in the levels themselves). I can't figure out how to solve stuff because nothing I want to do works as it should (no such thing as iron boots, for one quick example). It's just a big mess. I kind of which I hadn't bought it. It's awesome for the crazy crap briunj04 is talking about, but the game itself is garbage, imo! Either that, or my imagination sucks. I don't really THINK that's it...I sure hope not.

I really need some help with this game. I thought it was going to be awesome, but now I'm seriously regretting my purchase as I find myself unable to get through the Garden action levels. What the crap am I supposed to do when every idea I have is turned down by the stupid game? I never thought a game that was supposed to give you so much freedom would get so impossible so fast!

There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore
Give an example of a level that is causing you particular difficulty, and what you've tried so far. I think it just takes a while to get used to the game's logic, what works and what doesn't, etc.

@warioswoods: I've gotten stuck at almost every Action level in the Gardens. I only managed to get past the tornado using "infinity," and I somehow managed to break the level with the tripwires using only a lasso to grab the starlite, but I generally have no idea how to beat these levels, especially three times in a row for advanced mode. I'm stuck completely on Garden Action levels 10 and 11 right now. And to make matters worse, the game's control scheme SUCKS! That alone makes me hate the game!

That's true, the control scheme is very frustrating at times. For the tornado level, I was stuck too for a while, until I finally realized that I could go under it instead of over it. If you type something like "pit" or a similar word, you can actually create an object that is a pit (sort of defying logic, since it's essentially a hole) and place it in the ground underneath the tornado. It wasn't very wide, but I could just dash into it when the tornado was to the right, wait for it to just run over me, and jump out to the other side, although it took a few attempts to pull off with those controls.
The tripwire level was pretty crazy, and I can't remember exactly what I did, but I do know that it involved riding a pterodactyl, attaching a rope to it, attaching TNT to the other end of that rope so that it dangled near that lower trip wire, and then somehow igniting the TNT, probably by using a flame or something like that, which somehow worked, but I don't recall exactly how it all came together now.
I'm slowly getting the hang of the kinds of things that do and don't work, but it can certainly be confusing at times. What's "infinity"? O_o Haven't typed that one yet.
